Hillcrest shopping center — Attraction in Bethel Park

Filthy parking lot, the landscaping has been let go for years it's dead over grown plants and weeds mixed with trash. Rotten railroad ties for floral beds. The sides and back of strip mall overgrown weeds the hillside literally has a rat colony in it you can see them running from holes to holes at end where plant store is. The shopping center itself has a old tunnel I think I was told it was a unused old sewer system under the whole plaza that the rats use to get into shopping center walls ect. The old bar space were cricket store is now had mens room torn apart few years ago the plumber/contractor pulled blobs of dead yuck out of walls and floor.. the place smelled like death... the family that owns the center are known by lease holders to be non compliant with spending money to clean up the place. It's an eye sore to the area. Also a health hazard with all...

A few gems in this shopping center. First of which, Bruster's ice cream, an old time favorite. It is a walk up window service only shop but has the most delicious and creamy ice cream ever.
