My boyfriend and I went to pick up some undershirts and black pants for his new job, and while we were getting the undershirts, we saw a sale sign that said $22.00. Not $22.00-$42.00 as most of their signs show, but a flat sale rate of $22.00. It was our fault for not watching when we were checking out, but we noticed it once we had walked all the way to the mall from Kohl's for dinner. When we looked at the receipt, it showed the undershirts rung up as $38.00. Close to $40.00 for undershirts is absolutely ridiculous! So we called to find out if we were possibly mistaken, and the gentleman we spoke to who worked the men's department, confirmed that they were indeed $22.00, and stated that we should come in to get it adjusted. So after we ate we walked back over to the store to be confronted with the customer service ladies who were horribly un-friendly who went and checked the sign for themselves (totally understandable) which now said $22.00-$42.00. And they were so rude and wouldn't honor the price we were told by the man working the men's department (who was still on the clock, as we saw him walk from the back room up front to his department). They wouldn't even contact him to ask if he spoke with us or ask what was said. Keep in mind, I am pregnant, nauseous 24/7, exhausted from carrying around all the extra weight and not sleeping and I can't even tell you how pissed I am that they had us walk all the way back over there from the mall just to be told it was pointless because they wouldn't honor what the sign said before it was changed to the correct one. I worked for two different Kohl's department stores for years, and I know from personal experience that if the sign was incorrect or somehow missed when they were doing price changes overnight, they would honor it to the customer who had seen it, but change it so it would be correct from then on. I have never been so disappointed with a Kohl's store (or their rude employees) before, we will not be returning and will not recommend anyone to this store to have the same terrible...
Read moreKohls at Village Square has hired some checkout clerks who are just awful. College students who tell customers they - the clerks - need to be respected - which they do - and I did while trying to explain something at checkout but in return I was yelled at and called all sorts of names. I will avoid this store and I live nearby but I don’t want to be treated like that for no real reason by an impatient, snobby, disrespectful young person who feels she has a right to be horrible to any customer who has a question and needs a moment. I’ll wait until the semester begins - her yelling across the way to another clerk about her college which I won’t name - makes me feel - and in fact HOPE - that she is a summer hire. Please go back to college. Clearly that’s her happy place and her job at Kohl’s isn’t. A terrible experience at this store. Later I returned the item I purchased because every time I look at it I will think of this bizarre encounter with a very self-centered, self-absorbed, loud, nasty clerk. She was beyond difficult. It was shocking. Not a good employee and a very bad...
Read moreOne of my go to places for great prices and men's wear. But beginning to notice differences how coupons not being accepted showing the signs that we began to see in Macy's and Penny's I hope they don't go too far down this road. Update 7/3/2019: In the store today Kohl's cash, Rewards and 25% for using credit card. No where did it state 25% for using CC excludes brands and items. This has not been the case in the past. All five people in line in front of me had discussions with coupon and rewards interpretation, this is no exaggeration. One departed the store and left items on counter. Is it us? ....Brand items excluded could be bought online for equal or less cost with delivery included. This directly from the brand companies products excluded. I don't like lack of clarification on rewards and apps or brand items excluded no clearly marked. Deception and Distrust brought to end many large retailers...I hope you do not go...
