The sea food manager is the rudest . Michael I am transgender and identify as male and when he called me ma'am I asked nicely once for him not to call me that. That I dont identify as female. He laughed and said I look like a woman therefore I am and he will call me what he wants. I decided not to keep pushing it cause I just needed some crab cakes so I could be on my way. He then did not put on gloves and proceeded to grab them with his bare hands. This is so unsanitary. I dont know if he washed his hands and I told him I didnt want them anymore. He then starts to cuss and tell me that im whats wrong with the world today. Absolutely rude and didnt care and proceeded to talk to me however he wanted. Acted like he was running the place. And i was nothing more than a problem in the store. Marianne from customer service was very rude as well. Spoke down to me as if I was beneath her. I only wanted a new loaf of bread or my money back for the moldy bread I had purchased. I made it out to my car when I noticed the bread. Im glad I drive a little out my way to come to this store. Came right back in with the bread and my recient I paid with cash. Her attitude towards me was unacceptable. Seemed to me like she just didnt want to do her job. She was on her phone when I walked up. Huffed and puffed when she hung up and the attitude began. I asked to speak to someone above her position. Store manager, general manager , something. She said she was on top and I had to deal with her that no one was above her or would help me in anyway and told me to leave her store. I will no longer be buying groceries from this store. Rude employees. Ive had cashiers ring my items up more than once on several occasions. But they was polite and fixed it right away. There's SOME good people work there. But I wont be disrespected when buying food from this store again. Something as small as returning a bad loaf of bread or getting another loaf that hasnt gone bad. Using gloves to touch food people will be eating. Respecting the fact that im transgender. Ive never been treated this way in any other store before and I thought I was gonna have a mental break down when leaving this store. Crying in my car several minutes before being able to pull out the parking lot. I dont feel anyone should be treated the way they treated me. I dont normally do reviews but the behavior of the people working here was...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreCustomer service Marianne was not professional at all by any means. Was on her phone when I walked up seemed bothered by me needing assistance. Cashier rang up multiple items more than once and neither of us caught it til it was paid for. No big deal I hadn't left the store yet. The cashier was polite and apologized for the inconvenience. Wish I would have caught their name as well. They were so nice so polite. They asked me to take my groceries to customer service and they would fix everything. Absolutely not a problem on my part. Immediately her attitude was horrible. Seemed bothered by me and having to do anything. It was multiple things rung up more than once which seemed to only aggravate her more. She accused me of not having all my bags and trying to pull one over on her. I told her i went from the line where I paid straight to her. That i didnt want to hold up everyone behind me and I had paid before we realized things were rung up more than once. She rolled her eyes and continued to look at all my items and the receipt. She said I was wasting her time. I was in shock and said that if she needed to she could get someone else and id be more than happy to talk to someone else. Her response was that she didnt have to get someone else for me to talk to. I simply said I just want my money back for the items i paid twice for. She eventually got everything situated. Which felt like it took forever maybe cause of her attitude. I dont know if she was just having a bad day. But her attitude was ridiculous. Her accusing me of trying to pull one over on her. What a joke. How does she work customer service? I would seriously reconsider her being customer service if shes gonna talk and treat people the way she talked and treated me. When she refunded me the money owed back to me I still politely said thank you and she just rolled her eyes again. I was so glad that ordeal was over and I didnt have to deal with...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreValley Farm has been my go to store for all my groceries for most of my life, ever since they were Gorman's on Easton Avenue. I could always go there and count on getting the best fresh meats, seafood, Deli items, and produce in addition to most of my regular grocery items. I shopped there at least 2 or 3 times a week. I recommended them to others constantly. Over the last couple months shopping there has become awful. While the face-lift being made to the store is nice and long overdue the change in layout to the produce section especially is a nightmare. It is like going on a scavenger hunt to find anything. Types of carrots are spread out over 3 different areas, same with just about every other item. Also the quality of the produce is much less. If it weren't for the butcher section and seafood I would probably not still be shopping there. Edit 11/29 It's a shame that they have ruined everything that was Valley. They have basically turned it into a baby Shoprite. The Deli no longer carries many of the products it used to. The meat counter frequently is out of items and rarely has actual butchers like it used to. The quality of the produce is just one level above that of Azure's, where you have to be very careful or you get moldy or rotting produce that needs to be used immediately . Valley has gone from being my main go to store to my 10 items or less store. I will go to the real Shoprite or Wegmans for everyday grocery items the deals are greater and the selection is larger. For meats if possible I go to the butchers at either the Allentown Farmers Market or Quakertown Farmers Market. I also try to get as much of my produce there as well as the quality is very close to what Valley...
