Kyoto Sushi & Hibachi Steak House — Restaurant in Bethlehem

I really like the food but I caution you that if you do the all you can eat, it’s not worth the headache especially if you have a kid with you. Let me explain.

I went once to do the all you can eat with 3 people and the 4th just wanted to order her own meal.

Well unfortunately unless everyone at your table does it, nobody can do it.

That sucks, but I understand why they have this policy as some people probably abuse it.

Anyways, just the three of us went back a week later to do the all you can eat. My 6 year old as well.

We ordered him noodles aware that if you don’t finish your plate, they will charge you for it additionally. We specifically asked for a small portion because he’s a little boy.

They gave him a massive portion which of course he couldn’t finish.

They told me they were going to charge me additional for it so I had to force myself to eat it for him.

I could understand it we ordered a bunch of sushi or something like that and wasted it, but it was noodles and we had asked for a small portion.

They weren’t rude, but it was annoying and makes me not...

1 out of 5 - Very disappointing experience (twice!) First visit: We called 45 minutes ahead to ask if we needed a reservation or if there was a wait. They told us no. We arrived at 7:45 PM (they're open until 9:30 PM), only to be told they couldn't seat us because they had run out of food. No warning when we called, no heads-up.

Second visit: We decided to give them another shot and showed up at 6:40 PM. It took 20 minutes just to place our order. We went with the all-you-can-eat option, and by 7:20, we finally got our salad and appetizer. At 7:36, we received half of our sushi order.

Meanwhile, another table that came in about 45 minutes after us was served before us - full orders. We waited until 8 PM for the rest of our sushi, but by that point, we were tired of waiting and irritated. We went to the counter to ask for the check. The server came to the table and told us more food was still coming, but we told her we just wanted to pay and leave. We went up to the counter to pay because they didn't come back for the check

My group & I were so excited to try the AYCE. Terrible experience. We walk in and got seated right away. (Only positive) we had to ask for menus, water, & wine glasses for our drinks. We put in an order for salads, apps & first round of sushi. Our one app came out after 20/30 minutes of waiting, then 3 salads, with 2 salads coming 10 minutes later. After almost an hour & a half, we still had NO sushi. Mind you, they had "rules" with one of them stating you can only dine in for 2 hours max. I understand the rule of not taking any leftovers home but one person in our group wasn't getting the AYCE and she almost had to sit at a table by herself. Needless to say, we paid for the app & salads and left. Terrible service all around. A group of 4 came in right after us (we were only a group of 5) , the waitress had menus lying out for them and by the time we left they had 3 servings of food already delivered to them.
