Could not be more satisfied with custom ski boot fitting at Benchmark Outfitters in Cincinnati, Ohio. I had a great experience getting fitted ski boots at BO. Tyler is a true professional and literally I improved my skiing by getting me in the right boots and custom fitting them. He scanned me on their computerized system and then showed me how each boot would fit for size AND skill level. Because of my wide feet Tyler recommended a Dalbello Pantera boot.

They felt good, so he thermal molded the liner and put in custom footpads. Now they were awesome, but I found a tear in the tongue that pressed on the top of my foot so Tyler replaced the liner in a few days and I SHREDDED Perfect North. Brought in a new pair of skis and bindings to be mounted, safety checked, sharpened, and waxed. Asked to have edges sharpened to .75 & 88 degrees which the angles looked good however I would say they are less than sharp. Asked for my son to be set at 9 and when I picked them up they told me they set it to 6 based on the information I gave them even though I specifically told them to set it to 9. They also waxed over the UPC barcode sticker instead of removing it and never scraped the wax of the edges. I would say service was mediocre at best. I expect a premium service for the premium price. My husband and I just left the store and don’t have enough good things to say. Every single staff member was knowledgeable and friendly. We are starting to get more serious about hiking and starting a section hike through the Appalachian so we needed all new gear. Multiple helped us and each one was full of helpful advice and suggestions. We were on our way to REI and happened to see a billboard for Benchmark Outfitters regarding a sale they’re having so we decided to check it out without even going to REI.
