I wish there was a negative rating button in here. The staff here can talk you into anything.
Initially I just went in there to sign up for my monthly subscription which was 40$ and there is this âpersonal training managerâ called me out of nowhere and he asked me if I wanted personal training, I was hesitant at the beginning but he said he is going to make payment plans for me and he said he will offer 8 classes for 259$ and then an additional 4 classes which is included.
I was never told anything about the repetitive monthly subscription of 160$ at all (my bad I did not read the agreement which was 20 page long and I had put my initials there ).
And the subsequent month I was charged 160$ and I called the gym the same day to cancel the subscription. They initially said they will call me back but they didnât and I went to the gym to ask about that. He said he canât do anything about it and Iâll have to call the corporate.
I asked him to explain how the cancellation procedure works and He shouted right in front of everyone at the gym saying âYO, CAN YOU TELL THIS GUY I CANNOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT THISâ. Seriously I have been in USA for three years now. He is rudest guy I have ever met. (P.S. He is so kind and motivating when he wants you to enroll in the personal training sessions, PLEASE DO NOT FALL FOR IT, he talks so fast, you will be forced to enroll in it, I know I was stupid to fall for it).
Iâm not writing this review because I lost 160$ with them. But they treat you so bad after you sign up.
Please be careful and read all the agreement before you sign up and only if you really want it. (AGAIN DO NOT FALL FOR IT, There is no going back once you sign up).
I know this single review is not going to affect their business by any means. But I just hope no one faces the same situation again.
Please advise your friends as well. My friend faced similar situation and he wasnât offered refund as well. The subscription cancellation process will easily take take a month until they charge you for the subsequent month.

   Read moreThis gym is absolutely horrible. I have been a member for nearly a year now and it is far below satisfactory. Just about of the machines are poorly maintained and need to either be repaired, cleaned, or replaced. The locker rooms are disgusting and the smell is unbearable. The staff is very disrespectful and are essentially just bad people who don't work in the name of fitness but in the name of their paycheck and a free membership. The basketball court is even worse than the rest of the gym. Of course like any other LA Fitness, it is ultimately dominated by pickup ball and middle aged men trying to relive their glory days but the nearby FAU campus brings in many college students who are even worse and often start fights or injure people. The court itself is poorly maintained, every single ball provided by the gym is flat, and I mean every single one, and recently the backboard on one of the hoops has been broken and the staff has barely even acknowledged it. The most they've done for the situation is they put two chairs wrapped in caution tape in front of the hoop which certainly hasn't prevented people from playing on the hoop and they haven't even cleaned up the glass from the break which is a HUGE safety hazard. Also this only applies when we paying gym members can actually play on the court because there isn't an adult rec. league game happening.    Read moreUpdate- district manager Kim offered to try and fix my membership or to just call her every time I needed guests passes. She acknowledged David the manager who was unskilled in operations and customer resolution. The janitor who barged in on the ladies room has been dealt with. I signed up during a promo for two free guests for the premium statewide membership and for years never had an issue. Today the staff refused my guests and the David the sales manager on duty just shrugged his shoulders and was blantely rude and escalated the confrontation . I will be calling corporate office . Never mind I have it shown in my VIP passes in my app after we paid 20 for my guest. Shortly after an older woman came out of the locker room staring a man was in the locker room without announcing and refused to leave. The young woman at the desk that gave me a hard time , was useless to help the woman so I went and confronted the La fitness employee who was belligerent and stating that he had work to do. Eventually a young man came to help but honestly, the response was too little too late. Mediocre equipment in need of repairs, not enough free weights, not enough space in the stretching room and the cardio is on second level, it's hot as can be up there from the lights at 5:15 am.
