This so-called theater was an extremely terrible experience! We were there last night, the 18th on Saturday with another couple and everyone felt the same. The first problem is getting tickets. If you go to their site, it pushes you to another ticket site and they overcharge you tremendously. Tickets normally cost $30 To $70 as noted in the newspaper and it cost us close to $97 a ticket using their app and pushing us to another site to buy the tickets. On top of it that site pushes you to get insurance which is ridiculous also. Would we ever go back to this theater? If you can call it a theater the answer is definitely NO!!!!!! on top of that when we were there, the seats are terrible and the air conditioning could not be adjusted and it was freezing in there. I guess someone did not leave the key that night and people were complaining all night. On top of that the show was basically the most amateur acting we have ever seen! We could’ve done a better job if given the chance. In total, we were looking for a beautiful evening out, and it turned into a disaster from beginning to end. This place is a total rip off and being a Boca Raton resident and being from New York, I advise everyone to stay away from this theater. When we tried to discuss things over the phone with these people. They usually don’t answer and then we tried email and they just pushed us further away! This total experience was terrible in one word and we were not the only ones in the theater with this opinion! Besides the exorbitant pricing of tickets going through their site, the terrible acting, the hard chairs, the bad air conditioning that was so cold. They had to hand out blankets, this place is a disaster. Do not go there and...
Read moreCould be a nice little venue but still has a bit of work to do: Uses TicketMaster for tickets, which requires a real-time link to display for entry... but there is NO wifi in the lobby--- causing quite a backup as folks are coming in. First several rows (Sec 1; most expensive seats(?)) are all floor level.....same as the performer....so you end up looking mostly at the back of heads, unless you bob back & forth! a. Quick semi fix that would help a bit : those rows are just folding chairs attached together. Leave odd number (A,C,E....) rows where they are, and shift the even numbered rows (B,D,F.....) 1+ Feet to the Left, so you are not sitting directly behind someone else, but your view is at least in-between the people in font of you. I had to lean into the person next to me to take the pics. b. BUILD OR BUY A MOVABLE PLATFORM FOR THE PERFORMER to raise them up so they can be seen! Not a great expense, but would have greatly improved the experience! Nice circular drive to drop people off.... but NO info that I could find to show you where to park.. so if you're new to the area you assume that you're going to have to hunt for Street parking. Again a very easy fix here. Should mention on your website and within Ticketmaster where they have special comments to say that the nearest parking is a free parking garage less than a block and a half away! Also a portable sign out front stating the same with a small map to direct people would be very helpful and make people feel better about coming to this...
Read moreToday I went to The Studio at Mizner Park for the first time and it will be my last time.
Do they realize not everyone is 5‘8“ tall and since the first few rows of seats are on the same level, if you are 5’3” tall, and there is anyone taller than you sitting in the rows in front of you basically are unable to see the stage… Unable to see the actors… Unable to see the performance!
I basically could see absolutely nothing today! It was frustrating !
I tried leaning to the left and leaning to the right to look in between chairs. It was the most uncomfortable performance I’ve ever attended.
I’ve been to the Wick; I’ve been to Au Rene and Kravitz… These are professional settings where sitting anywhere allows you to see the performance on stage.
It’s 2024 and it’s Boca Raton… Come on …you can’t do any better then what you do at The Studio? Also, the chairs are so incredibly close together, if anyone is the least bit overweight or a large person, they’re partially in your space.
The lady that came out in the beginning to discuss the performance egged everyone on to participate and clap and root for the performers… That led to a lot of screaming and yelling in my ears, while I was trying to watch the performance… Terribly unprofessional in my mind. I don’t want to attend a performance where the person next to me is literally screaming, and saying “wahoo”, “yahoo” throughout the performance We attendees deserve better… Please do something to improve your...
