This place is beautifully decorated, very artsy and great ambiance. However, my expectations diminished when the manager addressed an order that was incorrectly put in by the staff by pulling out the plate from my husband while he was eating. Let me explain, as we sat down, our waiter explained the menu since we’ve never been here and then told us about the Monday margarita specials even though it was Sunday. We didn’t say anything, we left it as that because we weren’t going to drink anyway. Our waiter took our orders and when the food came out we noticed my husband’s meal was incorrect. He ordered one taco, since he’d already eaten at home. They brought out an entire meal with two tacos and a side. We didn’t want to be charged for something we did not order so we flagged down our waitress. She proceeded to say that she will get someone to help us for the wrong order… (making us feel like we ordered incorrectly) and left. It was about 6-8 minutes later and my husband started to eat his one taco, when the manager came around and said he heard there was a problem with our order. We explained, he said okay I’ll adjust your bill and then said I’m going to take this plate if that’s ok. It’s ok, we said and he slid the plate out from my husbands area and left. I had to quickly grab a saucer dish and slide it over to my husband as you know their tacos are saucy and drips. This left us feeling bad. Here’s what I would have done… in customer service you address the customer for any mistakes made by being sincere, saying sorry; we got the order wrong. You walk with a replacement dish if you are taking away a dish and ask if everyone is ok before walking off. And just an FYI, they automatically charge an 18% gratuity which we had no idea about until the bill came. Which made it clear as to why there isn’t good customer service, why the manager wasn’t sincere and why they made as feel that way. There’s no...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Let me begin by saying: I have seen sunsets over the Grand Canyon, I have witnessed a double rainbow after a hurricane, and I have tasted a Costco sample on an empty stomach—yet NOTHING prepared me for the life-altering experience of this Carne Asada burrito.

This burrito wasn’t just food. It was a religious awakening wrapped in a tortilla. When I bit into it, I swear I heard a mariachi band playing somewhere in the distance while angels sprinkled cilantro over my head. My fiancé, meanwhile, was across the table silently weeping tears of joy over her Carne Asada tacos. She looked at me and whispered, “This… this is better than our engagement.” (I pretended to be offended, but honestly, she wasn’t wrong.)

And then… the hot sauce. My God, the hot sauce. This wasn’t sauce—it was liquid poetry. It was like someone captured the very essence of “flavor” and bottled it. Each drop made me question every condiment I’ve ever used in my life. Ketchup? Mustard? Soy sauce? Mere amateurs. This hot sauce alone could end wars, unite nations, and probably reboot my Wi-Fi router.

Now let’s talk about Jullia. Imagine if Mary Poppins and Wonder Woman opened a restaurant together—Jullia would be running the show. She was prompt, kind, and somehow managed to make us feel like royalty and best friends at the same time. If there were an Olympic event for service, she would bring home the gold medal, the torch, and probably the stadium.

The drinks? Smooth. Refreshing. The kind of drinks that whisper, “Yes, you deserve to order another burrito… maybe three.”

In conclusion: this wasn’t just a meal. This was a full-blown experience. If you have not yet eaten here, I can only assume you don’t like joy, laughter, or...

A Divine Encounter at Calaveras Cantina

Stepping into Calaveras Cantina in Boca Raton is akin to entering a sacred temple of culinary excellence, where the vibrant spirit of Mexico is honored with every plate and every detail. This is not just a meal; it is a pilgrimage for the soul, a baptism of the senses in the holy waters of authenticity, creativity, and flavor.

The food—oh, the food! Each dish is a revelation, crafted with the freshest ingredients and infused with a divine spark of innovation. From the first bite, one can taste the devotion, the reverence for tradition, and the fearless creativity that elevates each offering to a celestial plane. The tacos, the guacamole, the house-made salsas—they are sacraments of flavor, meant to be savored with gratitude.

The ambiance is a feast for the eyes and the spirit. The eclectic and joyful décor captures the essence of Mexican culture, a testament to its vibrancy, its history, its sacred connection to celebration. Skulls, colors, and art swirl together like an altar built to honor life itself, an invitation to revel in the beauty of the moment.

And the service? It is nothing short of priestly. The staff at Calaveras Cantina are keepers of the tradition—friendly, knowledgeable, and always present when needed. They anticipate needs before they are spoken, ensuring that every guest feels like a welcomed disciple at the table of indulgence.

Authenticity is often claimed but rarely delivered with such purity of heart. Yet here, in this sanctuary of latin culinary delights, authenticity reigns. Calaveras Cantina is not just a restaurant; it is an experience, a ritual, a revival through food. One visit is enough to convert anyone into a...

I came here with my girlfriend and her sister last night, my parents had gone to the one in Jupiter and they had recommend us to go. Ehikr we didn't go to the one they went to, I felt likeI had a blast. The restaurant had a cool vibe as it was themed like México's Day of the Dead festival. Colors of balck and red were heavily used and mucho calaveras (lot's of skulls) were used to decorate the establishment. Our server Ginger made our dining experience great! She was awesome! She gave mw a high fice when I said that I wanted to get the Tacos de Birria! Those tacos by the way tasted great even with the side of the super hot sauce, but my only complaint is that the 3 tacos were not enough, I wanted more. The chips were phenomenal, they had to made on site as well as the salsa. So good. As for my drink, I had the deadly but spicy Viper's Veneno. It stung at first but I powwred through. My GF had the Chipotle carne asada. I had a taste and the steak was cooked to perfection but what I really enjoyed more was the veggies. They were stirred fried, but had a Chipotle bearnaise which blended all favors to a pleasant meal. And lastly for dessert I had the most amazing tres leches cake. Now this one kept it real with the theme as it was also red. I didn't think it was possible to make a tres leches with red velvet but like every thing else, it was the best treat to end the night! Very memorable experience and I will definitely recommend this restaurant for anyone that wants to enjoyed Mexican food with a very gothic view!
