When we got there, they didn't have our room ready, but they gave us an upgrade on top (22nd) floor with amazing view and complimentary breakfast in their restaurant downstairs. We could leave our luggage with staff downstairs and spent few hours walking around Boston Common park and surrounding beautiful downtown streets, before they notified us our new room was ready. We had no beef with that, and the free breakfast was great, cause it breakfast buffet would normally run us 60+$. We tipped well, staff was friendly, food was very breakfasty. We went for eggs and omelettes mostly, but things like french toast, waffles, pancakes, outmeal, potatoes, bacon and sausages (bangers) were available. Great fresh fruit and berries, good coffee and tea. Good bar with friendly barman, we had couple of drinks first day. Room was clean, spacious, plenty of outlets for charging, with built in USB ports. However those USB ports have very low amperage, you will never get Fast charge from them, good thing we brought our charger bricks. The nightstand alarm/radio gave a fast charge, but thats only one USB port. Big TV, but didn't use. Small fridge, as expected, you can put couple of sandwiches in there, couple of bottles of water. We wanted to make our own tea, so the staff brought us small electric kettle. Dude spoke only Spanish, which was kinda... mkay. To get water we used tap, but its boiled, so its ok. Bathroom uses sliding doors that clicks with magnet, but if you have a child, it could easily open the doors in a most inopportune moment, no way to lock it from inside. Also, those sliding doors give only view protection to a person in the room, but the sounds and smells can easily invade because there is easily half inch space between those hung doors and the wall. And I mean ALL the sounds and most smells, if a person had some bad reaction to food or drink, wink wink. Wife was not amused and embarrased, as I discovered a new side to her physiology thanks to our bathroom doors. Girls do poop, mkay. Bedsheets were too starchy to our taste, AC worked ok, room had one little hard couch and a small table. View was amazing, day or nighttime, from our windows. I would stay again, if I go back to Boston for a visit. We loved Boston.

Was in town for three nights for a work conference. Pretty much my entire workforce stayed at a hotel near the Tip O'Neil federal bldg, but I like my Hyatts so had about a twenty min walk to work each which was no big deal and got me a little mini tour of the area using Google Maps for walking. Never been to Boston proper before and this hotel is in a great location connected to a Macy's (didn't see that until the day I left) and right near lots of food and theaters if that's your thing. I walked everywhere I went so get some exercise. As for the hotel itself, when you come in via a rideshare or valet, the main lobby is up on the next floor up so catch the elevator up a floor and you will see the main lobby. Check-in has a dedicated lane for Hyatt loyalist if needed. The hotel also have copies of actual newspaper in the lobby. My room was great and very large with king size bed and sofa sleeper and large TV. Room was quiet and clean as I'd expect with plenty of room for my clothes in the closet, ironing board, mini fridge and k-cup coffee maker, plenty of plugs for you devices. I ate free breakfast daily in the hotel restaurant since I'm a Globalist, it's fully comped. It's a buffet with a large assortment of items like omelet bar, eggs, bacon, pancakes, fruit, oatmeal...all the stuff you would expect for the price. The hotel also give you some clam chowder tokens at check-in and you can even get it to go if you busy...was pretty good actually. The hotel bar is stocked with normal drinks. There was a guest reception while I was in town also that I received an email about so had some good food and drinks there also. I knocked the service down to three stars for a couple reasons. One, my final bill was screwed up and I have to call again on Monday to get it fixed and the day of the reception, I was asking the bartender about it and he had no idea and couldn't help me but was trying to tell me about the discounts at happy hour in the bar so I guess they don't communicate very well. Overall, was great hotel and I'd stay here again when/if I come back. Note: This hotel does not have a club.

We stayed here the week of Thanksgiving and so glad we chose this hotel. The location was great! It was close to several train stops, Chinatown and Boston Common. There isn’t a shuttle, but we had no issues and took the train to and from the airport. We always felt safe walking around the neighborhood. We had a junior suite and added a rollaway bed. It was a tight fit, but we made it work. We stood the bed upright during the day so we could have more floor space. Our living room had a sofa bed, coffee table, arm chair and credenza for mini fridge and Keurig. Bedroom had a king bed and an armchair. We did move the 2nd chair into the bedroom to make more room for the kids in the living room. There were large tvs in each room with a narrow shelf underneath which was handy to place things. I would have liked more storage for clothing, but we made it work. There was a nice bench and valet rod to hang jackets and store things. The bathroom had a big counter. I didn’t notice any water pressure issues that others have mentioned. We could open the window a little - just enough to let some of the cool air in. You do enter at a concierge level, take an elevator to the lobby and then walk to a different elevator. It wasn’t a pain and nice to have an extra layer between the street and the lobby. Checkout was at noon and we had the concierge desk hold our luggage while we walked around the park before we left for our flight. Friends had suggested other neighborhoods in Boston, but I’m so glad we chose this hotel. We loved walking in the city and having so many restaurants nearby- Cafe 26, Cafe Bonjour, Hei La Moon, Maria’s Taqueria, multiple Dunkins and lots of places to get Boba and banh mi.

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL establishment. The staff was friendly, helpful, and courteous. I asked to provide a CASH deposit rather than on my credit card and was informed that upon checking out, I would receive a full refund of the deposit and signed an agreement outlining these exact terms. The rooms are extremely clean, well stocked, and provide a view like none other. I cannot stand a hot stuffy room and the Air/AC failed to work and the heat would not shut off. As I was checking out and receiving my deposit, I was hit with a hidden “international” fee that I was never informed of. Upon leaving the establishment I requested that my parking be validated as I was parked in the HYATT garage. They refused to validate it for me and was also hit with a $40 parking fee. Finding the valet area for the hotel was impossible even after driving around for 24 minutes in search of it. I had also requested a later checkout (20 minutes) as I have many many times in 40+ other hotels and was denied for the first time by the HYATT. The bed was probably the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. The linens were immaculate as was the bathroom and common area of my room. This establishment has so much potential to be great. I live outside of Boston so I understand it can be confusing for others however, I know it like that back on my hand. The Hyatt parking/arriving setup needs work.

I've not left yet but it's time to rate this hotel. Location is great for exploring the city, especially on foot as I prefer. Room is OK. Aircon is effective and it's been a while since I've stayed in a north American high rise hotel where I can open the window. There's a shallow bath and the shower is effective, even if it's a fixed head and not a hose attachment as I prefer. Reception and concierge are friendly. The main reason for only 2 stars is the $30/day resort fee. It's done to short change Hyatt's partners and if I felt like I was receiving value for the charge it wouldn't be so bad. Judge for yourselves. A photo of the "benefits" is attached. If any of these justify $30/day for you then add a star. For me, their benefits are tenuous at best and in all honesty should be included as standard. The hotel feels like a nickel and dime joint. The WiFi is patchy and requires constant "signing in", unless I cough up for the chargeable "premium" service. Water in the room is $4 a bottle unless I join some Hyatt membership nonsense. Like I said before, nickel and dime. No personality and no soul. Seems popular with airline corporate accounts though so maybe I'm not the target customer.
