We visited Boston last week and watched the new Minecraft movie at the AMC Boston Common 19. The staff were amazing. We had multiple gift cards to use and we were having trouble with the kiosks. The worker, Joe, had the best sense of humor and he went above and beyond to help us. Our teens were being picky about seating at first until Joe mentioned two seats were "exotic and very popular." We got such a laugh because our teens immediately wanted those two seats. The facility was MASSIVE - we are from a small town with minimal movie theatres nearby and we have never been to such a big movie theater. The building itself was beautiful - there were tons of cool lights, quotes on the wall/ceiling and it gave such a vibe. We chose to try the dolby cinema and it did not disappoint. We kept looking over our shoulders because the movie sounds were coming from so many different speakers that at times it sounded like a character was talking right behind you. The seats were comfortable and they had a large variety of snacks and drinks to choose from. We had two almost 15 yo boys and 1 almost 9 yo boy. Our youngest's birthday was this past Friday, 4/18, and being able to see the Minecraft movie at such a cool place was so exciting for him. He keeps talking about it. We really enjoyed the experience and thank you so much to Joe and the female staff that assisted us!

I was not impressed at all! The location is convenient, the actual building and theater is beautiful. However, there is very little parking and the staff is not friendly! While buying tickets my son had to use the restroom, he was told he could not use the bathroom until he had a ticket. Really??? Then, when we got upstairs to order food, the young man behind the counter did not hear my order the first or the second time and turned to me to say, "What?" So, when I corrected him and asked would it be so hard to say, "Would you please repeat that?" He got mad, rolled his eyes and say, "How can I help you?"...With an attitude! If this was not enough when I went to end of the counter to pick up my food, the young lady gave me the wrong order. I told her it was wrong. She said "Will this is what they charged you for, so..." I waited. Thinking she would go and verify that the order was correct, but she stood there looking at me like I did something wrong. So, I said to her, " Instead of telling me what I ordered, how about you apologize and correct it." Then she got mad walked off then came back with the right order. I didn't even want to stay to see the movie after all that. But I had already paid for two tickets, food, drinks and $20 parking. Never again!!! I could have watched a movie at home and saved $100!!! Oh and did I mention the lobby and bathroom was dirty??? Ok, I'm done!

The theatre is conviently located near dining and other entertainment options across from the Boylston T stop. The building inside is dirty and worn. The escalators and floors were showing wear and dirt. We were there on a Friday at 4pm, before the crowd arrived for the day. The men's bathroom was HEINOUSLY gross. It smelled like stale pee. Urinals had pee on the floor around them. A paper towel dispenser was empty or broken. The bathroom appeared to not have been cleaned in at least a day or two. Yuck. The theatre was nice, easy to navigate and the chairs were comfortable. We were in a regular theatre (#8) for the Taylor Swift Eras concert movie. Big positive- The staff were so pleasant and helpful. At the snack bar, I appreciated their navigation of the special commemorative containers, price, sizes, options. Incredibly kind and patient. After the movie, the theatre cleaning staff were also very nice. One traded a friendship bracelet with my daughter. Really great experience. Glad we went to an early showing. Wish the building had been cleaner (especially the men's bathroom).

1st Review Went to see the Barbie movie. It was decent. I definitely won't see it again. It's always cold in the theater room so and I forgot a sweater, so I was freezing for 2 hours, but it's also 80° outside, so I can't complain too much. Was in room 3, my college had a private room for this showing. The chairs weren't the best and were close together. I'm more used to IMAX or Dolby chairs, but since no one was in front of me, I just put my feet up on the chair in front of me. ***UPDATE: 2nd Review I attended an early screening of Percy Jackson and the Olympians, which will be released on Disney+ in two days. The first two episodes were great, and I am excited to watch the rest of the series. I even got to meet the author of the original book series and received free popcorn and a drink. At the end of the screening, we were given posters and shirts like the ones worn at the camp. However, the audience was a bit annoying with their constant shouting at every little thing that happened. There were no cameras present, so the screaming was uncalled for.

I love this place, and all new released movies are shown here! The IMAX experience is amazing and must watch. They have movie shows from world wide releases. Movie starts 15-20 Min after the ticket mentioned time. Buy tickets online or via AMC app. Almost no waiting time. Limited food options are served. 50 meters from BOYLSTON T station. Tons of restaurants options nearby to eat after the movie. Go here for your next movie.
