i don’t typically leave reviews, let alone critical ones. but i was asked to review this place on several occasions so here i am. while i enjoy the ambience and the ladies working here, i cant say i had the best experiences here lately. the lady that does my nails is extremely kind and because i respect her and really do mean well, i won’t say her name. i wish her all the best and really do think she can do amazing things. i have gotten gel fill ins the past two times. i asked for a french design the first time, and it came out incredibly clumpy. i was so surprised that i just paid a good amount of money and left. i eventually mustered up enough confidence to reach out and ask the lady to fix them. she was so incredibly kind and allowed me to come in that same night and swiftly fixed them free of charge. this interaction alone made me truly appreciate their dedication to customer satisfaction. but it was upsetting that a regular french design couldn’t be achieved properly the first time. i just went back again to give them the benefit of the doubt. got another gel fill in, this time a solid color. i mean how could you mess that up right? she was very attentive and fixed a broken nail, which i am really happy about. i left with a gorgeous color and shape, which again, i am satisfied with. but i also left with about five fingers cut, around the nail from filing too much and aggressively with the drill. i normally don’t mind one or two nicks, but i’m finding it a bit difficult to even wash my hands without my fingers burning (you can see my raw cuts in the picture ā˜¹ļø) i want to say this salon is good, but there are a lot of things that need improvement technique wise. I understand this isn’t a private nail tech, but this service also isn’t very cheap. i’m not sure if i’ll be returning any time soon but i just wanted to give my input for anyone that may be considering this place.

I came here for the first time after seeing great reviews on Google. It’s not close to where I live or work, but I really wanted my nails to be taken care of so I went out of my way to come here. They were very accommodating and gave me an appointment the day that I called, and even with the nail tech that I requested (Tina, who has great reviews on Google). While the place is clean and Tina was very nice, my nails were not satisfactory. I had asked for dip powder and removal of a previous dip set done at another salon. The removal was fine (another tech hastily filed down my nails and then put them in a bowl of acetone for soak off). The soak off didn’t completely remove everything so Tina proceeded to use the drill to remove the rest, which was fine. However, she drilled too much and made my nails basically paper thin and very brittle (see pics). The application of the dip set was fine, except for some black flecks that weren’t completely brushed off (see ring finger). But she ended up drilling too much again and making my proximal nail folds bleed on at least 4 fingers (see pics). Maybe it was the dip powder itself, or the fact that nails were filed down too much, but many of the nails split down the middle after 10 days. It seems like this is a fluke case, because again other reviews online are great. But I’m pretty disappointed with what I received.

Do NOT get Gelx nails here. I didn’t make a review when I initially got my nails done even though the experience was bad but now that my nails have grown out I’ve gotten to see the full extend of the damage they did to my nails. The nail tech was ROUGH with my nails. She used a drill on my cuticles that should go nowhere near that part of your nails and even when I told her it hurt multiple times she didn’t change anything. As well, the UV lamp they use to cure the nails BURNS. I also told her about that each time but she did nothing. It was so bad that I kept unintentionally recoiling in pain at how hot it was. And now that my nails have grown out I can see that she drilled dents into my nails! Pictures are attached but they don’t do it justice. In person my nails in that area look a lot more red and irritated. I’m so worried about my nail health now. My friend also had a bad experience here recently with them ripping her acrylics off which was painful. The quality of this salon as truly gone down since I started going here four years ago its quite sad.
