This is a review for the Copley Place location. I visited on Apr 14 around 5 pm, and experienced the worst employees out of any Aritzia I've ever shopped at. I've visited several Aritzia locations across Canada, and a few in the US (NYC, LA), and I'm honestly appalled at how horrible the customer service was here.
The employees will not greet you unless they recognize you (a friend, a client that has shopped there previously, whatever), and they will talk about customers in the most incredibly obvious way. I always thought that rumors about Aritzia employees being condescending was false considering the fact that I've always been treated pleasantly by employees at any other store, but the Copley Place location is an anomaly. Don't expect a greeting, because god forbid you interrupt the conversations that the employees are having while ignoring you.
The selection is miniscule, they carry approximately 2 in-house brands and what variety they do have is repeated throughout the store. Don't waste your time by visiting this location. The employees don't deserve the commission, and there are about 4 pieces of clothing you can look through. Order online and return in store, or wait for the Prudential location to reopen. Extremely disappointed in my...
Read moreI used to love this place - before it turned into a store totally aimed at 18 year olds only. You walk in and the speakers are at PEAK high - it's like a club, but it's just super distracting when you're just trying to find some pants or a shirt, it's so loud you can't even hear the sales people when they ask you if you need help. Plus they took out ALL THE MIRRORS from the inside of the fitting rooms, so you have to strut outside with a bunch of boyfriends/husbands awkwardly sitting there staring at you while you see how your butt looks in pants in the mirror. SUPER AWKWARD.
They have one secret room with a mirror -- who knows why. Otherwise you literally have to walk out there not sure how the heck you look in front of strangers -- just so you can see how you look. Not into the new changes they've made. I kind of miss when they had more chill / variety of music vs. only loud rap 24/7, and you know -- had mirrors....
Read moreI love the designs and the quality of the clothes at Aritzia, as well as the shopping experience usually (in Canada). However, when I visited this store with my mum, I was blown away at how blatantly ageist the staff were! They came right up to me (I’m 20) and called me by my name and took my clothes to the fitting room every time I picked up something. However, my mum (who also happened to be paying for our clothes) was not acknowledged at all, let alone helped into a fitting room. This experience was discriminatory and appalling and should not be accepted in this day and age. I understand that the brand is targeted at the younger generation, but respect needs to be given to every single customer, and especially if they are paying these high prices! I haven’t experienced anything like this in Aritzia stores in Canada and thus I am not blaming the brand itself but the arrogant staff at the...
