Very good place. I enjoyed my stay. But there r some catches, read my full review. NOTE: they own multiple properties within the distance of a couple of blocks, and also there are different types of rooms. So, if u want the best room fr ur needs, call them and discuss what u want. They are accommodating. I am giving 5 star based on what I got. Check my list of pros and cons to see what my room had. Pros: - awesome location - the staff is super friendly and accomodating - check in and check out is easy - u get AC, private full bathroom, wifi, towels & toiletries, stove, microwave, mini oven, dishes & cutlery, iron & stand, hair dryer, coffee maker, mini fridge, and TV - the room is spacious. It is essentially a single bed studio apartment! U have kitchen area, dining table, small closet and full bathroom. There r 3 windows with privacy blinds so u get lots of ventilation if needed. - bathrooms are very clean. Bed and sheets were not bad, arranged like a normal hotel bed. - they have a washer and dryer (I think $2 per wash) like we have in condos in the common area of the apartment - THEY MADE A NICE FLOWER WITH THE TOILET PAPER (check my pictures). I mean, u can say it's silly, but it shows they really care abt our stay 😍 Cons: - it's not a hotel, it's like condos and kind of old with wooden furniture. But I didn't really have any issues staying here fr 2 days. It just doesn't look fancy. - the split AC gets too loud, but only some times, like fr 10secs every 20min. I had no issues with that. - wifi is kind of slow. But, it's ok fr simple web browsing - the TV cable connection said "no card inserted" in my room, but I dint want to watch anything, so I didn't care abt it. - the front desk is only available 9am to 9pm, but it wasn't an issue fr me as I did all the communication in that time. - I don't think they have room service everyday - check with them once. I didn't need it, so I didn't ask This is a hidden gem, consider it fr ur next trip to Boston :)

Classic bait and switch… I reserved my room at Copley House on Priceline. Copley House advertises its address there at 239 West Nelson and that’s where I wanted to be, a four-minute walk to my meeting first thing the next morning. As the Uber guy pulled up to 239 W. Nelson, I noticed a text message from the hotel. It said I wouldn’t be staying at 239 W. Nelson, but would be staying at one of their other buildings instead, which would’ve been a nine-minute Uber drive away. I said I wanted to stay at 239 W. Nelson and explained my situation. The receptionist’s response was to give me a room at a building across the street. Since it was the same distance to my meeting, I accepted. But when I got to the room I found out what the receptionist didn’t say. The room had no closet! The room was tiny with a narrow hall and little space on either side of the bed. It had no iron or luggage stand. It had no thermostat to individually control the temperature. A small table and disgustingly soiled chairs looked like they had been picked up at a thrift store. It had no drapes and the artwork was chipped. The view was of a parking lot. There was no elevator and no breakfast. For this deplorable spot they charged the outrageous sum of $507, about $50 less than I could have paid for the four-star Marriott two blocks away. When I complained, they said the best they could do would be to knock off $80. Would you pay $427 for this room? I refused and chose to warn others instead. Spend more and stay at the Marriott. You’ll be glad you did.

Pros: Beautiful neighborhood, convenient location, parking directly behind the building we were staying in. Cons: We booked Copley House specifically because we wanted a one bedroom suite. When we got to our room, we arrived to find that the "one bedroom" was merely a dividing wall between the bed and the rest of the room. There was no door and no privacy. I spoke to the front desk about it and was told "that's what we call a one bedroom suite." While they gave me the keys to check two other rooms, those rooms were also not one bedroom suites, and they would not do anything else to remedy the situation, despite me asking for management to follow up. They also charged us more for parking than was listed on their website and would not adjust that rate either, saying it was due to "inflation." The kitchen drawers were dirty and had crumbs in them, there was no dishwasher detergent, and no replacement of K cups or towels while we were there. Photos below show the two open doors to the "bedroom" and the space between the wall and the bed--- you need to walk into the living room and around in order to get to the other side of the bedroom. There are no dressers in which to store items, so all clothes need to be hung or in your luggage on the floor. It was not the worst place I've ever stayed, and we loved the location, but for the price the staff could be a bit more attentive and ACCURATELY represent their rooms and rates.

Spotlessly clean, unique in that it provides a feel for life in downtown Boston, and offers an alternative to the Big Hotel scene. Our first experience with Copley House. Unfortunately, our room featured a very energetic rodent, a black mouse, who emerged after we dimmed the lights to appreciate the wonderful view of the sky scrapers looming over the adjacent park, below. Cute in concept only, we were alarmed at how this rodent appeared to have no fear whatsoever of us, and could jump very, very high. Seriously, we were obviously worried that the rodent would jump into the pack-n-play of our 20 month old infant son. We called the front desk, and the night clerk, though clearly sympathetic to our plight, could not offer a different room (rooms booked). We ended up departing, post haste, on our 3 hour drive back to Maine, in our pyjamas, immediately. The room we were staying in was in and outer building, and it appeared clear that other rooms in that building were occupied by tenants or owners who may not have adhered to rodent control standards. Clearly, the Copley House cannot be held responsible for ensuring that no rodents exist at all in a charming 1880s era building. However, it is a bummer, but it is not realistic to expect guests to pay $300 a night to stay in a room that is infested with rodents. We are awaiting the Management's decision on refund for the night's stay or, preferably refund for the two nights stay. We assume the same mouse was running around unnoticed by us during the night previous. The situation would be different if we were not staying with an infant in a pack and play which would present the perfect setting for a cage fight between a rodent and our baby, and we don't think our infant would have prevailed. In summary, Copley house provided a pleasant alternative to the big hotel scene in Boston with a small, efficiency apartment in a charming 19th century building. A great place to stay if you don't have a small child and are not worried about a rodent bite. I apologize again that the Copley house cannot control rodents in Boston in a building that they do not entirely own, but I do think it is incumbent upon them to ensure that guests spending $300 per night do not have to contend with a rodent infestation in the middle of the night. I don't think guests should write off the Copley House based on this probably isolated experience. However we don't think we will be returning there in the near future, at least not...

Please DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU VALUE YOUR HEALTH. It's been two and a half hours since we left and my perants and I are still suffering from toxic chemicals including GLUTERELDERHYDE they used in the rooms and all the floors. The poor cleaners didn't even have masks to protect themselves or their health. We suspect something so powerful was used to remove bed bugs or some other kind of infestation. We were in the room for 20 mins before we were forced to leave. We met another family who had just arrived on the stairs and the mother had asma and she had to leave too. The smell was so overpowering my father was forced to use GTN spray and it was effecting his breathing and heart. We were waiting on the street outside (we and the other family couldn't even stay in the reception area as they sprayed that too). Most of the staff seemed very blaze about it although one lady was extremely kind and took us to another hotel and removed the luggage from the room too. for us that doesn't effect the review rating as the room was unlivable. If we had stayed the night we would have been hospitalised by morning. The other family were forced to leave too. If anyone would like a picture of the cleaning chemicals that were used or feel your health has been effected we would be quite happy to provide it so you can receive appropriate medical attention.

To any person on a management or owner level. Please change the cleaning fluids, something that powerful is dangerous. Traditional soap and water moping would do no problems on those floors. PROTECT YOUR STAFF before they get ILL and PROTECT YOUR CUSTOMERS we are supposed to be in your care NOT in HARMS WAY. Especially when you rooms are not cheap. It doen't matter if you use the stuff at home it is not safe and not safe for your guests. Disgusted by your unliveable rooms and service except for the kind lady that helped us with our things she should be commended for the way she served and delivered us and took our bags from that dangerous environment... Will not dare dream to stay with you again doing so would be a living nightmare that I and my family may never again...
