The North End is a great neighborhood to visit in Boston. Hanover Street is the main thoroughfare with many restaurants to choose from. Besides all the authentic Italian menus- check out Neptune for oysters, and Mike’s & Modern for pastries & sweets. Very busy neighborhood and very popular with visitors plan ahead and make reservations. Late summer is a very good time to visit during Festival season- two of the larger are the Fisherman’s Feast and Saint Anthony’s. Find some history with Paul Revere’s home and the Old North Church just...

Don’t think about trying to park here… ever. It’s an easy walk from downtown Boston - just walk past Government Center, through Quincy Market, and cross over...

Loved this area we happened by on the st Anthony's feast, it was very lively with a parade of Marching bands. Lots of vendors and great restaurants. Also can't forget the desserts we stopped by Mike's pastries for the absolute best cannoli's I've ever had, highly recommend.

We chose to visit the last weekend in August. It was not only a holiday weekend but also during the celebration of St. Anthony's feast. It was loud, busy, full of celebration and joy. We loved the atmosphere, the food & shop vendors as well as the friendly locals we met
