I wish I looked up the reviews and saw all the people complaining about their experience with passport services before I made my appointment.
I went in 5-10 mins before my scheduled time. They send me to the window for the passports and the guy says “I’m closed”. I said “I have an appointment”. He tells me “no you don’t”. He never even looked it up or asked my name. So unprofessional.
So I give him my name and he realizes I do have an appointment but he says I’m early so I have to wait.. I just stood there and he sat there for about 5 minutes doing nothing but waiting for it to be my appointment time. He didn’t help any other customers or anything.
So my time comes and first thing he says is “social security card?”. I told him my number was on the form already. He says “no I need the card”, which he doesn’t, he just needs the number. I told him the social security card is not required. This man tells me “the post office doesn’t require it, I do”. Such wild behavior!
I went to West Roxbury and they were great! They made it so fast and easy. The guy in Mattapan argued with me for longer than it took West Roxbury to do it professionally. Read moreI have a monthy subscription that gets delivered to my house. For the past 3-4 months whomever attempts the delivery DOESN'T. They don’t even leave the Notice that says we missed you. I BE HOME!! Which brings me to my next point. When calling about my hiccup with the postal service, the customer service is a negative 5. (-5). I honestly don’t care what the notice is called whether is “Sorry we missed you” or whatnot the rep knew what I meant. Don’t tell me that’s UPS. Don’t tell me that cuz you listen to my spiel, (which was actually a rant) that you can be literal. I need the woman & name of who helped me last time cuz she was good AND PROFESSIONAL. Why is your mailman not doing his job? Then she comes back with telling me it’s on the truck? I mean duh! The faulty delivery was “attempted” about an hour ago. Of course it’s on the truck! WHY DOES THIS KEEP HAPPENING?!? I will get a post office box in Milton or Quincy just avoid this place. It needs a major revamp...
Read morePossibly one of the worst post offices. Sometimes people are kind, but they usually have attitudes like it's a DMV. I'm in line with 9 other people, and I can hear a community of laughs in the back, but no one is able to assist with the line. I asked for tape for my package on my last visit, and both clerks found it hilarious that I could request a post office to have tape. The first person seemed like she didn't hear me or didn't care to find any, and said I could buy some. I stepped out of line to wait for the clerk I was originally working with, but after waiting, she chuckled and asked the same question. I wasn't able to send my package then, and I have been at the post office for over a half hour. There were four people in line when I got here....
