Bride To Be Bridal — Attraction in Bothell

EDIT IN RESPONSE I appreciate the response, but these explanations do not add up. My mom and I looked at the tags and only sizes were on there. Why have other reviews also mentioned the lack of prices? If every dress has a visible price tag, why did I never see one? I also take my integrity very seriously, like any other person. If pricing is so clear, why refuse to give details after the appointment when every other bridal shop does? Other reviews also state never getting price details post appointment. I was suspicious about your pricing, but now that you have flat out lied that prices were on there - this is absolutely not a trustworthy business.

Saying guests can’t browse racks for “safety reasons” makes no sense. Dresses stay on the racks unless someone physically removes them—how is that a tipping hazard? No other bridal shop I’ve been to has this rule. I

Just because I tried on dresses and liked some doesn’t mean they matched the styles I am looking for for my wedding. And if you want more details, I did not like any of the dresses - I felt pressured to like them because that is how uncomfortable I felt. That’s on me, but that is a reflection of the CUSTOMER SERVICE. It does not matter whether I loved or hated the dresses - the EXPERIENCE was awful and the styles were not close to the two pictures I sent in our text messages prior to the appointment.

At the end of the day, my experience was uncomfortable, unclear, and unlike any other bridal shop I’ve visited. I stand by my review.

• ORIGINAl REVIEW* Brides, please do yourself a favor and read the negative reviews, I regret not doing so… I have never been made to feel so uncomfortable and so unwelcome while wedding dress shopping. However, I’m just thankful I didn’t buy my dress from here because the pricing is… “unclear”. You can make your own judgement - but there are no price tags, so you will only be told verbally, on the spot, the price of one final dress. The price was outside my budget, but if I bought it that day to get 20% off, then it would fall conveniently right below our maximum budget. Kind of unlikely, but of course that can happen. BUT, I can’t verify if the price is accurate to how the brand sells it because once I asked to have this dress added to my profile for a later time, she refused to tell me anything about the dress because “you have a picture of it” as if multiple brands don’t carry same styles. I wonder why this is the only bridal place that didn’t send me details of the final dresses I liked other than if this place is doing something weird with prices. (Every place I’ve been to sends you the brand and exact price of the dresses you liked).

Also, just an utter waste of time since you aren’t allowed to even slightly touch the dresses, you aren’t allowed to go through racks and pick and choose what you want to try on… it does not feel “your” appointment at all.

They also texted me beforehand to send styles that I like, which I’m now realizing was pointless because she didn’t even have any of the styles that were close to the ones I sent. I wish she would have mentioned her store doesn’t have any of the styles I am...

I’m nothing short of appalled by our experience at Bride To Be Bridal and in the worst way. If you’re a bride, STEER CLEAR.

EDIT: This boutique seems to either create fake accounts or asks friends to add positive reviews after a negative one to keep their “high rating”. An “Anita Di” seems to love their shop enough to leave 2 reviews.

ORIGINAL REVIEW:

The short: Complete utter lack of hospitality. The stylist/owner “tapped out” in the middle of the appointment, sat down behind the counter, and scrolled through her phone, letting her assistant finish out the appointment. Eek.

The long: I joined my friend today and her bridal party to try on some dresses and see if we can find “the one”. The beginning of the appointment was nice, cordial, though not the most welcoming, but that’s fine. You will not get the whole champagne, get to know the bridal party, take group pictures experience here, which again is fine, but something to note if you want that type of bridal experience. The bride communicated her vision for her dress to the stylist and they struggled to pull dresses from the rack for the bride to try. Perhaps the boutique caters to a different style than what the bride wanted, so I will give them a pass here. The bride tried on said dresses and commented on aspects she liked and disliked for each and as we were on the 3rd or 4th dress, the stylist seemed to start to “check out” and no longer actively helped. She walked over to the store counter, sat behind it, picked up her phone, started scrolling, and never looked up again. She was clearly annoyed by the bride and was no longer willing to help in any way. As she sat there, pouting like a high schooler, the assistant helped the bride get in and out of the next dress. When the bride asked a question about customizing the dress, the stylist offered a curt cursory answer before returning to whatever was more interesting on her phone. The next time she looked up to talk to us was to inform us that our appointment was over, quickly booting us out the door. The bride left feeling unwelcome and generally unhappy shopping for her wedding dress! The boutique itself has many different styles, dress shapes, fabric types, lace/bead detailing, etc, and it seemed like you could customize quite a bit of your dress to your liking, BUT the more you mention what to fix, the more you’ll seem to offend the stylist.

As a bride, you should never have to feel the way that my friend did today. NEVER. Maybe the stylist was having a bad day, but judging by the other negative reviews, there seems to be a recurring theme of inhospitable behavior.

@Bride to Be Bridal: Do better. If you can’t cater to a bride’s wants and needs, just communicate that. That’s totally fine. We don’t need to be iced out of your store for communicating...
