I wouldn't recommend it and I won't. First impressions are so important. What was mine? There's nothing "royal" about it and it's not a "house". It's an ordinary strip mall building with no character. There are several old pieces of tape stuck to the glass entry door and lots of fingerprints on the dirty glass. It screams "We don't care!!!" And, they don't. Upon entering, there's no host nor a pleasant greeting. After you locate an available booth, you discover fake bamboo design paper plates, a flimsy spoon, a fall-apart fork, and a small plastic bottle of the cheapest Costco water. No glass for drinking your water. If there were one, I'm sure it would be paper. There is a sealed bottle of some thick yellow mysterious liquid; with a label that only has the Royal Biryani logo. No ingredients are listed. It could be anything and none of us risked it. Perhaps, it's the antidote for the eventual effects of the horrible food? The "menu" is a QR Code printed on a little folded piece of cardboard. A server? Forget about it. You order off the menu app. You do not have the opportunity to inquire about the choices. Google it and hope for the best. Unfortunately, you're going to get the worst! A random food-runner will deliver your choices. What we got was a clever presentation of a mountain of basmati rice with our food buried somewhere beneath. A single slice of red onion on top of the rice mountain was the creative garnish. It was a captivating presentation. HA! Due to the mountain of rice, it appears as though one is getting a generous portion. Not! It's mostly rice and a scant serving of whatever you ordered is buried beneath. A not-so-clever ruse. After I dug out some of what was lying-in-state beneath the rice mountain, my serving was mostly bones. Some were dangerously sharp chards and there was one large bone with no meat on it. Why that big naked bone was served as part of the dish, I'll never understand. Another indication that they don't care is that the bathroom door is faulty and they haven't bothered to fix it. Most likely, it's been like that for a long time. The non-stop Indian Music is loud and not designed for a delightful ambiance. It's distracting and annoying. The paint scheme on the walls is 3 clashing colors with dirty marks that could easily be cleaned. They don't care. The food runners are random and avoid having any friendly and meaningful interaction. We had several different ones and they knew nothing about the food. They seemed reluctant to interact and determined to depart as soon as possible. Charming! When it came time to pay, their state-of-the-art POS system was down. They probably bought the cheapest one that was offered. No surprise there! For our inconvenience, only cash was accepted. All in all, the place is totally lame and the way-below-average food was over-priced, and forgettable. Until later.... In the middle of that night, I awakened and could not sleep for 2 hours. Strange. That sleepless time was followed by intestinal cramps and many trips to the bathroom. I spoke with my fellow diners and they experienced the same thing. Criminal! Food poisoning! No extra charge. Please, go somewhere else, somewhere good. This place isn't. It's a terrible restaurant and the owner(s) should be severly fined by the Health Department. Actually, it should...
Read moreI am writing to express my disappointment with the recent experience my family and I had at this restaurant. This was our first visit, and we were accompanied by 3 other families, making a total of four tables. Each table placed their order separately, but the service staff seemed perpetually confused, resulting in incorrect items being delivered to our table. One incident that stands out involves my son's favorite dish, chicken 65. It's a starter we always order at any restaurant we visit. However, we were served pepper chicken fry instead. I asked the server a couple of times if he was sure it was chicken 65, and he assured me it was. I tried to convince my son that in this restaurant, chicken 65 is a darker color instead of the usual red. After we had finished about 60% of the dish, the server delivered chicken 65 (red color) to the next table and announced that it was indeed chicken 65. When I questioned what our dish was, he claimed that ours was a medium spice chicken 65, hence the dark color. This response frustrated me further, and another staff member came to clarify that pepper chicken fry was mistakenly delivered to us instead of chicken 65. There was no apology for the incorrect item, nor any effort to rectify the mistake, despite charging us 18 % additional gratuity since we asked to keep 4 tables closer though the orders and billing was different. Additionally, the biryani was extremely spicy, and we were not given any warning beforehand. There was also a mix-up with the swapping of medium and spicy biryanis between tables. It was a waste of our family's time to travel all the way from Redmond to have such a disappointing experience at your restaurant. The service was pathetic, and the pepper chicken, which we didn't order, was below average. This visit will be our first and last to...
Read moreDON’T BE FOOLED BY THE SUDDEN WAVE OF POSITIVE REVIEWS!!!!!! THE FOOD HERE IS VERY DISAPPOINTING!
We recently visited and one of us has written a genuine review based on our disappointing experience, and at that time, the previous reviews were spaced out—one a week ago, another before that was even older. But right after I shared my honest feedback, there was a sudden surge of overly positive just in 1 day (that too on Monday)!!! like on , suspicious reviews. It’s quite clear that friends or acquaintances were asked to post fake reviews to bury the real ones. This is extremely disappointing, especially from a Restaurant. People rely on honest reviews to make informed decisions. Manipulating feedback like this is unethical and misleading. Please, don’t deceive potential customers. Let genuine reviews speak for themselves!!
Reply to the management: We don’t have any personal grudge against your restaurant, nor do we want to see you fail. In fact, we genuinely appreciate the hard work you put in every day and the sacrifices you make for your business and family. However, our review was based purely on our experience with the food, which we found disappointing. Honest feedback—both positive and negative—is essential for growth. Instead of dismissing criticism or covering it by bad/fake intent, it would be more helpful to reflect on it and work towards improvement. Also, let the reviews speak for themselves. People can easily tell when there’s a sudden influx of overly positive, generic reviews. It only hurts credibility. Respecting everyone’s opinion—whether good or bad—and letting customers make decisions is how trust is built. Wishing you the best...
