This is a really nice little shopping center. A lot of different businesses, several restaurants ranging from fast food to a pretty good Indian spot (Taj, check em out), and they even got a Goodwill! I found the coolest cat hoodie there today! I'll post a picture, it's lovely. It's a great location as public transport goes, sort of a crossroads of bus routes. It's easy to get to and easy to get anywhere else from there. Be careful around the bike path at night, five hoodlums tried to mug me there a couple years back; I gave em what-for and they backed down, but if you don't have an iron-will and the backbone of Steve McQueen, I'd avoid that area after dark. However if you DO have the constitution of a WWI veteran, you can make some interesting street friends! I ended up getting five bucks and a six pack from the aforementioned hoodlums, but I am quite brave and charming. The Asian restaurant is pretty good, too.

I'm not rating this a 5 star because I am still disturbed that the food market industry has given up on this location. A market in this mall is vital due to it's proximity to the college, schools, and Chautauqua-Uni Hill neighborhoods. Otherwise, I've been coming here since there was a sit-down movie theater in the mall and Wild Oats was the grocery market and I've always loved sitting here sipping my coffee and gazing out at the view. You can still get almost anything you want here and all right on a bike path and bus line.

A great area with lots of shops to check out. One of my personal favs there is a well supplied Goodwill store. Who doesn't love a good bargain? For a howling good time visit Base-Mar Shopping.....hehe There's also several good places to grab a bite to eat at there but If you're on the go like i am quite often, then there's a Taco Bell, Wendy's & a Subway there for fast food too.

I have shopped here for years, however after my experience the other day I will NEVER be returning. Nothing wrong with the shops, but the private parking company that Base-mar has hired to secure and patrol the lot is absolutely awful. I was stopping by before work the other day and stepped off the property for a very short amount of time, then returned and got a tea at the Brewing Market. I walked back to my car to find a boot on in after 20 minutes TOTAL. The security man had followed me and taken pictures of me stepping off the property, so he technically could fine me at that point, even though I was still a customer and had my receipt. I proceeded to watch him boot 5 other cars within the time I was trying to figure out what to do about the boot. The company and security worker were extremely rude, and charged me $125 to get the boot off. I don't even think it's legal to charge that much (in Denver you can't charge more than $100). Anyways, if you don't want to lose $125 DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOPPING CENTER. This isn't the first complaint, check the editorials in the Daily Camera today. Shape up Base-mar...
