Canoe Club — Attraction in Boulder

Besides the top-notch items they stock, the well-crafted emails, and no-strings discounts for new customers, the customer service was also fantastic. I exchanged a dozen plus emails about shirt sizing, and never once did I feel like I was a bother (even though I was) and they always responded promptly to get me the measurements I requested. Customer service is huge for me, and they gave me five-star service. I highly recommend checking them out!

Edit: 4/13/2020: Once again Canoe Club has gone above and beyond. On a recent order, they hooked it up despite me going back and forth on some items I was purchasing and were helpful every step of the way. I received my bandannas (one which they hooked up!) and now I have a face covering to wear during the current public health crisis. Not only that, but they have a helpful how-to video that shows how to craft your bandana into a mask. This is the type of service that is too rare these days, so I appreciate this shop for all that they do, the items they carry, and their fantastic customer service! Check them out and throw them...

I must be a difficult customer, because—again—I had a specific request regarding an order I placed with Canoe Club last week. And AGAIN, the Canoe Club team was quick to respond, and they just handled it.

It's hard to beat internet shopping for the sheer variety of offerings, but over time I've come to miss the personalized service from a shop I know and trust. Now I don't have to, because that's exactly the kind of service and attention I've received from Canoe Club. I'm not a big spender. But when I go online, Canoe Club is now the first place I stop. Five-star gear and six-star personalized service in a nameless, faceless, 2-star online world. If you're a Nepenthes or Blue In Green fan living out west, Canoe Club is in the neighborhood, and they keep coming in so correct.

If you live outside the US just avoid this place completely. I have to pay more than half of what the pants cost in taxes brokerage and “other government taxes”. I have bought from other US businesses recently and was charged fairly in that regard. When asked if I could refuse parcel I was told they still wouldn’t refund me. Basically it’s my problem and I’m screwed either way. The representative’s attitude was that of indifference and not someone who cared about a first time customer. First and last! I won’t be ordering from this place again and suggest the same to you guys.

Edit in response to the owner: Nowhere in your pre sales did it say I would have to shell out more than half the cost of the pants I ordered. If I read that, I never would have purchased. I get that you aren’t responsible and you really don’t care about my situation. Obviously. This is just a caution to others who are thinking about ordering...
