I recently made a purchase of over $5000...which is a lot for me. The day before the delivery i was sent an updated invoice stating several items were to come off the floor. I texted the salesman and told him we did not talk about this and i was not ok with it. He got back to me and said he checked all the items and they were coming from the warehouse. When i received the delivery the tables had scratches in them and were obviously floor models. I sent them back and the recliner i purchased back due to defects. The next day i went into the store to get the issues resolved. The owner was going to knock off less than 20% off the tables that they tried to oil down to cover scratches...i let them keep them. When it came to the recliner, the floor model was much better than the warehouse one they sent and i said ok as long as they knock some off for being the floor model. The owners response said no he wasn’t going to because he could get full price for it. I told them to keep it. He came back with 10 % off. I didn't have much fight in me that day so i took it. They also broke one of the lamps i purchased. I happened to know several people who have worked in the furniture arena and know that the mark up on furniture is higher than any other retail sale..somewhere in the 50-70% mark up range. I am writing this mostly for the business owner to read....Sir, you need to update your sales mentality. In this day and age, i can go on my computer and purchased the same items in your store for a much lower cost and not have to deals with salesmen or greedy owners. Bowling Green may still be a small town with limited places to shop...but Nashville is just an hour down the road and the internet is right at my fingertips.... Your salesman had the nerve to ask me if i was happy before i left...no i am not happy that i had to deal with nonsense and i will not recommend your store nor will i ever purchase anything...
Read moreWhen my husband Roscoe & I entered we was greeted by a very nice sales associate named Adam Boils. He asked us what he could help us with, we told him bedroom suites & reclining living room furniture. He showed us items then let us shop & look around but periodically he come back to us asking if we had any questions about anything or if we were still trying to decide what we really wanted. We said still trying to decide. He said I'll check back with you in a bit, I'll let you continue to look around. We finally found a bedroom suite we really liked and Adam check availability and it was in stock all except the night tables(but thats ok, we told Adam we can stop by and pick them up when they come in)and will be delivered the next week. We explained we didn't find what we was looking for as far as living room furniture but we'd be back at a later date and look around again. We can't say enough about Adam Boils, he is a very pleasant, helpful and nice sales person. I say if you're needing any type of furniture go to Ford's Furniture in Bowling Green, KY and ask for Adam Boils. He will help you find what you're looking for. He made our furniture shopping experience very pleasant and nice. Thank you Adam for all your help with our purchase. We will definitely be back. Thanks again Roscoe &...
Read moreI had every intention of "shopping around" before I left my house. My first stop was here and it was my last stop. Adam was amazing to work with! He wasn't pushy, he gave me the info I needed, but he also gave me some space to look around. He consistently checked in to help me with questions I had, offered quality opinions, and looked up delivery information on the items I was interested in. As a single woman, I was dreading the "salesman" aspect of shopping around but Ford's made me feel right at home. The quality of the furniture is great, American made, the price was right, and to top it off I got a mattress, and entire bedroom set delivered the next day after purchasing (with thanks to Adam for being transparent on how long it'd take to get all pieces I looked at). The guys that delivered the furniture were professional, quick, and got everything up 18 stairs without a complaint :) I will definitely be a...
