Ace Hardware — Attraction in Boynton Beach

Man, where do I start? I've been coming to this Ace Hardware for years, always very helpful. But yesterday made me write this review. A friend gave me a ride in because I needed a new battery and help to insert it for my car key fob. We were headed out for her birthday dinner but wanted to get in there before they closed. The employees there began assisting us promptly. But due to my own bad planning, and being an insulin-dependent diabetic, and because we were running considerably behind my scheduled eating time, I began to exhibit signs of hypoglycemia. No sooner did my friend say "diabetic" at which point I was provided a chair, and then the whole team kicked into high gear. I couldn't have had better care if I had been in the emergency room at a hospital. (believe me, I've been there) They provided me with everything I needed to begin to recover AND they replaced the little battery in my key fob. ALL of this so fast and with a smile! Seriously, I don't know their names but these men and women made a huge difference in my health immediately. I would just like to thank each one of them and their boss. Normally I don’t write reviews. I’ve had to make an exception. This store is exceptional Ace Hardware/Hessler Paints on West Atlantic Ave in Delray Beach. It’s an experience just to walk into the store. Your greeted with friendly smiling faces, professional’s who ask you can I help you. What are you looking for. You can ask them questions they will give you advice, tell you how to go about doing your project. They are very patient. The store is well stocked and very clean. While browsing through the store when I first moved here I realized they carried a lot of items other stores didn’t. They also have an excellent decorating corner.I particularly like Donna. She’s professional, easy to get along with and knows her job. She’ll go from Traditional, French, Country French, Shabby Chic you get the idea. She will help you with wallpaper, paint color design your whole home. Whatever your needs are she can tackle the job. With her great personality and her big smile. Excellent as always although I was a little annoyed by female clerk that refused to let me put a piece of glass that I had purchased sit at the counter while I finished shopping. She made me take it to car. A bit of a problem since handicap parking is a ways from the entrance. On the bright side she waited at the door till I got back in the store. The problem is, I did not know if she was being helpful or making sure didn't steal the glass. That got them a 4. Ace always delivers a quality experience!
