Do yourselves a favor and DO NOT contact this people for service! They are DISHONEST, rude, and NOT TRUSTWORTHY. I called because We would get ice build up in the freezer every once in a while. The ice maker would work fine but every couple of weeks i needed to defrost the ice maker and then it would work fine again. So, Joe the technician comes in and empties the ice bin, performs a forced defrost and concludes that it needs a $796 repair because Samsung has a high failure rate and thereâs a class action suit because of this same issue. All of this is fine so far. We tell Joe we will think about the repair and will let him know. Paid him $89.95 for the service call. Heâs gone. Well .... Itâs been 2 days since Joe came in and the ice make just stopped making ice! Now it doesnât work at all, period! Call the office and spoke to no good Julie, and told her I needed Joe to come back and fix whatever he did to the ice maker as it has stopped making ice. Julie says the technician is not available for another week. I say this is ridiculous! I used to have ice and know I donât. I get upset and frustrated on the phone. Julie says David, the owner, will call me. Sure enough he did it. Well, i discovered dishonesty runs in the family and the business they operate. Long story short, David says the ice maker will eventually break anyway so my options are to pay for the repair ($796), buy another fridge, or just live without the ice maker!! Some nerve!!! Told him that maybe the ice maker will break eventually but so happens that it did break exactly the same day and same time Joe put his hands on it!! Appliance King is a SCAM of a company! They broke the ice maker on purpose so now I have to have it repaired no matter what! David âthe owner and expert technicianâ said he will not have Joe come in again and re-diagnose whatâs been diagnosed already. Thatâs not what Iâm asking for. I need the technician to come back and leave things the way they were before he ever set foot in my house. I could have dealt with the ice build up as I was dealing with before but now I donât have any ice coming out of the ice maker. My husband tried calling them and it is impossible to have a conversation with Julie as she wonât let you talk nor wonât listen to you. She repeats like a broken record just what David said the options are... have it repaired by them or buy another fridge. Just like that!! It is sad to see how people want to make money by being dishonest and breaking things that arenât broken so they can charge to fix them. Maybe Appliance King doesnât know thereâs karma!!! I will go on all websites I can find, Ombudsman, social media and post the facts of my disappointing experience with Appliance King (they should be called...
Read moreAppliance King of America reminds everyone why the USA is still the greatest nation on earth! My GE fridge died and stopped cooling. Having kids in the house made the situation unbearable. I called several shops and got subpar responses. Many simply could not handle my new fridge ("too complicated for us" - or..."we are not licensed etc."... or..."we can see you only next week"... what can I say... the wrong kind of attitude). The minute I called I felt this company was different. Upon learning that I have not cooling they called over the radio and told me a technician was on his way and should be at my home as soon as he is done with his appointments. David showed up after a full day of work, completely alert and ready to provide services as if I was his first client of the day. The story got complicated as it turns out GE discontinued that faulty part, and no-one seem to be able to tell which was is the new one. David set for close to an hour handling the juggernaut Ge phone answering system -- just listening to the people on the other side it felt like getting my tooth pulled out with no anesthetics. Finally, it was David who took the risk and ordered a part despite inconclusive support from the GE stuff â he also raced against the clock and got them to overnight it from their warehouse at Jacksonville even though it was over the cutoff hour for shipment that day. David again had to come the day after to complete the job late Friday afternoon, delaying a well-deserved beginning of his weekend rest. After completing a perfect and successful installation, while performing a final update of the Fridge software, David took the time to review all my appliances and gave me good advice how to maintain them all. He left close to dusk, refused my offer for tip, and, by the way told me that he is the owner of the company and he continues a family tradition of 40 years. He has several handpicked technicians all dedicated, professional, and working for years together. He promised they are as good as him! I believe him as I saw how he took no nonsense handling the GE supply chain. Great price, incredible service and total commitment to his clients â they simply stopped making people like David a long time ago â I know I got my man to solve my Appliances issues. Donât think twice before calling Appliance King of America if you need help. You wonât regret it!!! Thank, you David! (AKA Mr. Costanzo, the proud owner of Appliance...
Read moreI scheduled an appointment with this company to diagnose and repair a washer in our rental unit. From the very beginning, I made it clear that we are the landlords and that our tenants would be present when the technician arrived. I also provided detailed instructions regarding the location of the laundry area.
On the day of service, I received a text notification that the technician was en route. However, when I reached out to the tenants to let them know, my tenant informed me that the technician had already arrived, completed the repair, and left â all without ever contacting me to confirm the diagnosis or obtain authorization for the work.
This is highly unprofessional. At no point was I provided with a cost estimate or given an opportunity to approve the repair prior to it being performed. While the total ended up being $185 â a relatively minor charge â the situation could have been far more serious if the repair had been costly.
When I called the company to address the issue, the representative was dismissive, suggesting that the technician may not have realized the tenant wasnât the property owner. This explanation is unacceptable, especially given that my name â clearly listed as the service contact â was on the account. It appears the company either entered the service information incorrectly or failed to communicate it properly to the technician.
I further expressed that performing unauthorized work is unacceptable and unprofessional. The representative assured me a manager would contact me by the end of the business day, but no one ever followed up. Instead, I received a receipt for the charge the following day without any explanation or apology.
Although the washer is now functional, the companyâs disregard for proper communication, consent, and follow-up demonstrates a serious lack of professionalism. I will not be using their services again and strongly advise others to consider a more reliable and...
