One of the best museums for children I have visited. It is a museum that is designed for children to explore and learn about different areas. On the first floor, the museum is divided into two large rooms which consist of a farm, in which your child can learn about fruits and vegetables, the manufacture of milk, different animals that are on the farm and there is a small kitchen for the child to have fun. In the second room, you will find a very large train so your children can understand the importance of the Florida East Coast Railway, a window to make shows with stuffed animals and we can find a table to have a tea party at the original Boynton Beach Hotel.
The second floor of the museum is divided into three rooms. In the first room, your child can explore and learn about the general store, doctorās office, post office, and main street. In the second room is known as the water world, your children can explore and learn about the native animals of Florida, play with puzzles, and steer a boat and imagine what it is like to fish in the waters of Florida. The last room is the classroom which is for museum programming, special events, birthday parties, or field trips inside one of our original classrooms. Without a doubt, it is one of the best places to take your children

Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy (now 4) twin daughters have been going to the Schoolhouse Children's Museum regularly since they were babies. It is the most wonderful interactive, learning experience for their age. When they became toddlers, they love weekly story time and crafts. They cannot get enough of weekly messy play either.
The staff is exceptional! The girls talk about their "teachers" non-stop. They know everyone by name, and the staff them.
The Schoolhouse and it's team have become so much a part of the girls' lives, that we had to have their 4th birthday party there, of course! No place else would do!!
Matthew and his team were beyond amazing (as usual) throughout the party! It was a huge success, thanks to them. All of the girls' friends had a blast and loved the special slime-making activity Matthew et. al put together for us.
I can't sing enough praises! If you have small children, check it out. Your littles will love the experience and are sure to want to go back for more. (Make sure to get a schedule of events...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreEdit: the museum replied to my review very fast which makes me want to add back the star I originally knocked. For some reason I thought the guy with the ponytail was the owner, anyhow his demeanor is very positive. I think some of the staff needs to realize the children are the true customers, not the parents. Some professional training on how respectfully talk to a child is crucial. I, as a parent, don't want you to fawn, but instead speak appropriately to children. They are not your equals, they can't adequately answer your angry talk. If you truly want to make it right, an in-person apology to my children by that person will suffice.
Original: My kids (3 and 5) love this place. They can spend hours playing here. I bought them the yearly membership and come here pretty often. Some staff ladies are just making up rules as they go and bother my kids which makes me not want to renew the membership. The owner is a pretty cool guy who is...
