I came saturday March 18.. morning with a truck load to donate. I arrived approximately 8:55am and they had gates up blocking cars. No big deal, they don't open til 9, which i knew. at 9:06 I was still waiting. No sign of workers, now 3 other cars behind me waiting to donate. Again, no big deal...I called in confirmed time they start taking donations was 9am. I said, ok no big deal, i'm here now waiting 3 other cars. Said very casually and politely. She said, ok i'll send the guys out. 2 guys come out to remove the gates, one is shouting "Hey who called in asking us to come out!?!? I said that was me, and he responds "our clocks don't say 9am, we gotta go by our clocks".. clearly he is irritated. I said no big deal, i was more just making sure you open at 9 (instead of 10 or 11).. . I pull the truck up, and the dude is already exclaiming we can't take this.. Referring to the couch. It has a tear. I say ok, kinda expected that. YOu can take everything else though? He says no, if one piece is bad, can't take whole load. Realizing he's retaliating against me now because i called in .. i confirm soooo nothing can be taken? nope. new rule he says. Ok, i'll call your manager i said, and left very unhappy. Called manager in the car.. Stephanie. same answer...also points out there are no clocks back there so they have no idea what time it is and is why they weren't out at 9am.. OK, so every morning they just guess what time it is or wait til someone calls to tell them they are waiting to donate something?!?!?!?! Talk about bad management!
Drove to CWE goodwill. Guess what? they take everything but the couch. Last time i'll visit...
Read morePlease do not waste your time. This location has the worst manager of all the Goodwill stores. "Shauna" the manager on duty, is always there, has horrible customer service, and is rude. She is the only one that can do returns and makes the shopping experience totally miserable. I honestly believe she enjoys making things difficult for customers if you have to return something. On Sat, 10/04/25 at 510p, I had 1 dress $6.16 to return. This unprofessional poor example of a manager said, "I would need to check our video cameras to see if you bought it from here because the tag isn't attached." I mean really 1 dress, you need to check cameras, implying I stole the item is not even worth it. I can return it to another location. The young cashiers are friendly but this manager is enough reason to never shop here ever again. This kind of treatment shouldn't be allowed in any business. If I could score give them a zero they wouldn't even get one star. This is the smallest location of all their stores and the manager in charge has no sense. Also, the selection of items is like shopping at a small yard sale with limited items. They only sale clothes and shoes. No bedding items, no dishes, no linens, no toys, no electronics, and no small furniture items like the other locations. Do not waste your time. Give your business to the stores in Chesterfield, Florissant, or St. Peters, these...
Read moreI love this store, but management seriously needs to address an issue that’s been going on for years. There’s one regular shopper who completely ruins the experience for everyone. He runs to every new rack, pushes into people (including employees), and grabs everything he can. It’s clear he’s a reseller, and while there’s nothing wrong with reselling, there is something wrong with being greedy and aggressive.
He’s often with a blonde lady who does the same thing, reaching and grabbing over other shoppers. I’ve heard countless people in the store complain about him - everyone notices, and it’s been happening far too long. When he’s not there, the store feels calm, friendly, and actually enjoyable to shop in.
I’ve even stopped going in as often because of how unpleasant it gets when he’s there. The staff are great, but management really needs to step in and protect both employees and customers from this kind...
