The Co-Ed Cinema on Main Street is truly a local treasure! This family-owned theater, more than 80 years old, offers a unique and nostalgic movie experience, showcasing new releases and family-friendly films. The current owners continue to maintain this beloved community staple, ensuring it remains a place for all to enjoy. The theater’s website also features some neat old photos, offering a glimpse into its rich history. I deeply appreciate historic preservation and the efforts of all those who have kept this quaint theater alive over the years and am thrilled to have this little gem so close to home. With incredibly reasonable ticket prices, I always make it a point to buy concessions to support this invaluable local business. If you can’t catch a movie, you can still grab a popcorn to go! A friend recently visited from Toronto, fell in love with Brevard, and went all in with the BIG bag of popcorn—it's just too good!

I love going to the Co-Ed Cinema in downtown Brevard. I have been coming here since I was a little boy and it hasn’t changed a bit. If I’m being honest that’s what I love the most about this place. During the summer they do a free movie for everyone on Friday and Saturday mornings at 10 AM. This is geared towards the kids but they do allow everyone to come for free. Concessions are decently priced!

The Co-Ed is a comfortable, locally-owned and operated cinema that does a lot of lifting for the community of Transylvania County. Childrens shows in the summertime, hosting special screenings including nonprofit events.... Always putting the community first! What a treasure to still have this historic theatre in Brevard.

Seeing a movie at the Co-Ed Cinema is a fun experience harking back to the slower, calmer 40s and 50s in that it has a cool, old "stylish", red with gold trimmed ticket booth that kind of reminds you of Zoltar the Magnificent's fortune telling booth from the Tom Hanks movie "Big", the snack bar is small with reasonable prices and "just feels right", the seats are comfortable and you feel somehow "protected" in that small auditorium, safe and distanced from the world outside. The husband and wife team who own and operate the Co-Ed are genuinely personable and a welcome change from most theaters' employees. I truly enjoy seeing a movie at the Co-Ed, way more so than watching a movie at the new "big box" theaters with expensive prices at their snack bars, 14 screens, no character, and bored, almost...

Nice local movie theater. Relatively small house. They could bring the lights up better between shows. I was unable to tell if there was a step down as you leave the row and step into the aisle. There wasn't.

I saw a documentary. I hadn't known they showed documentaries/art house-type movies. Good to know that occasionally they get away from Spiderman and that type of movie.

I had been here before, usually when a sibling comes to town. This time I wasn't sure if the movie would be held over since the ad in the paper said it would be there until Thursday. It...
