Preparing for my wedding, I scheduled a gel fill with Anna, requesting a french ombre design. Upon preparing to airbrush my nails, Anna couldn't get the airbrush machine to function. She along with another nail tech, fiddled with the machine and paint for nearly 30 minutes, repeatedly using scraps of paper, the table, and my nails as test objects. Finally, she was able to get the machine to operate at a capacity to pass for "airbrush", though it was continuing to spew out splotchy chunks of white paint.
Instead of being apologetic for my inconvenience and time wasted, Anna proceeded to project an attitude, as if it was MY problem that their equipment did not work, or the fact that they did not have a backup solution/remedy.
Having already been there two hours, twice as long as a fill should take, I was frustrated and simply paid and left.
I ultimately went to another nail salon to have the blotchy mess fixed, putting out even more time and money for the correction - on top of the two hours and $60 for the fill at K Nails.
They are overpriced and unprofessional, save your time and take your business elsewhere.
*Update: I was not late, they called me the morning of my appointment and asked to change my scheduled time, and if I come in earlier, I got there as soon as I could. The owner response directly reflects the inconsideration and lack of value for their clients.
*As far as “manicure” and fill, I simply asked that she trim some of my cuticles since my hands were going to be photographed. If you’re going to up-charge to simply trim cuticles, that should be properly communicated prior to the service. $80 for a full set & $60 for a fill is grossly inflated - regardless of how many cuticles you...
Read moreToday I had my nails done by Thoa for the 2nd time and she does not disappoint! I am Very indecisive with my nail color and honestly can care less. But she picked out a color I would have picked. The studio has been extremely clean and the women are always so kind. The first time I came it was for my best friends wedding that I was in. I did not tell Thoa because I did not want to scare her or make her think I was very high maintenance. The entire wedding I was complimented on my nails. I’m a hairdresser; i was not complimented on my hair; but I was on my nails. Today was another short notice work into my schedule and she was more than happy to take me again. My nails are not too thick or to thin, the perfect shape and the most amazing polish. Not to mention, my nails from the last time I got them done with Thoa 1 month ago, lasted with only 1 break of a nail ( that was my fault by jamming my finger playing football with my son). It kills me to write this because now one of my favorite nail technicians is going to be too busy to see me! And please, refer to Thoa and her coworkers as “nail technicians “ they are not your “nail lady”

Read moreThis should be a 5 star review, but I had to take a star off because although they take credit cards they don’t allow you to put your tip on the card. Since I (like most people) don’t carry cash I had to take money out of their ATM to tip which of course charges a fee. In 2018, I just don’t think that that’s an acceptable business practice, especially since they can already run credit cards.
However, I’ll probably return (with cash, next time) because Daniel was so friendly and he did such a nice job on my nails. I don’t think I’m exaggerating to say that this is the happiest I’ve ever been with my nails and the experience I had at a nail salon. If the review was just for him, he would get 5/5 stars from me. The girl who did my pedicure did a nice job as well, although she was less talkative and I didn’t get her name. They seem to employ very friendly and personable nail techs which I appreciate. It was a bit bare bones for a manicure/pedicure service and they charge average to slightly high prices in my opinion but I’m so happy with how my acrylics look and the friendly environment there that I felt it...
