Visionworks Chimney Rock — Attraction in Bridgewater Township

Horrible experience. Came here today to get the nosepieces on my partner’s glasses adjusted, left with a sour taste in our mouths after an infuriating experience. The person adjusting my partner’s glasses (unsure of his name - he was the person who “””greeted””” us when we entered) was inattentive, rude, and unwilling to listen to my partner’s input. He clearly did not want to do the adjustment, and he was aggressive and dismissive when asked to do additional adjustments after he misinterpreted my partner’s initial instructions, resulting in the glasses being very uncomfortable. He didn’t even look at my partner while my partner was gesturing to explain what adjustments needed to be made, and he sighed and huffed loudly the entire time. He made us so uncomfortable with his agitated and rude behavior as well as his inattentiveness / carelessness with making the nosepiece adjustments that we left without the proper adjustments being made to the glasses, because we would rather go somewhere else than have to fight to get his attention and respect, and we had massive doubts about his ability to do a good job without damaging the glasses. He clearly had no regard for being cordial, doing a good job, or listening to my partner at all. He was also being extremely pushy about me, my partner, and the friend that accompanied us receiving unnecessary vision exams today, when he should have been paying more attention to addressing the reason we visited in the first place - i.e., getting adjustments made to a pair of glasses. I absolutely do not recommend this location at all if you are planning on getting adjustments made to your frames...

The staff at this location is absolutely amazing!!! I went here a few months ago, and am ecstatically planning my next visit when I get to order my new frames (I lost my balance while swimming in the ocean, they fell off my face, and I have just saved up enough now for a new pair)!! They were so kind over the phone and in person, and the place was sparkling clean. I was speaking to my coworker, and felt inspired to write this review, as she told me the workers at her optometrist's office begrudgingly adjusted her frames and she left with ill-fitting frames. I literally gasped--I understand that people have their reasons for acting whoever they may choose, but I was so shocked! I had the time of my life at this location! I came by to get my glasses readjusted after I slept on them (oops) AND was able to bring in some other frames that I did not purchase from Visionworks to be readjusted as well! They just noted that they were not responsible for any damages to those frames--duh! They were speedy but did not rush me--if I was hesitant in how they felt on my face they offered to fix them until I felt secure! I'm sure I was a bit of a pain for them, but they did not make me feel like one :) Soooo sweet! I had a lovely conversation with the person who fixed my frames and I eavesdropped on the conversations around and it seemed like they were treated with the same kindness and patience as myself :). And as a testament to their work, I am happy to say my other 3 frames are still in good standing to this day!! Ocean-proof maybe not, but they are miracle workers...

The reason I went 45 minutes from my house in Englishtown to this specific VisionWorks location in Bound Brook, NJ was because of the good reviews , and I have to say I wasn't disappointed, since I walked in I was received with a hello & good afternoon followed with how can I help you, the front desk staff is so professional and friendly much appreciated, I got there an hour early but I did took time before my appointment and looked at frames, when I saw Dr. Patel, by the way she's so nice and experienced in what she does, I had questions and she answered them all, and she also gave me advice about my results and not to get my frames yet before I went to see an eye specialist due to results, that was nice of her, I bet if it was in another place they would of let me purchase my glasses before seeing a specialist. I definitely recommend...
