NCG Cinemas - Yorkville + Xtreme — Attraction in Bristol Township

The seats here suck bad, because when you raise the armrests between the seats (to have space, yet put your arm around your girl/guy) you CAN'T because the armrest in the up position sticks out way too far! So it's completely pointless, and it's not possible because it's way too uncomfortable! The plastic from the chair digs into your arm! So don't even try! I don't understand the other reviewers who like the seating, they're either not being honest or they go to the show alone and never raised the armrests to discover this obvious design flaw? Also, we noticed, if you sit in the 1st row of the (very low) balcony type seating, you are looking at the backs of peoples heads in the floor seats, because of the weird design/layout. We had to go up a level to unobstruct our view! Just very poor designed seats/ theater layout! When NCG replaces all of these crappy designed seats and improves the layout, then I'll review them again. Right now this is the major complaint I have about this theater, other than that, I'd say it's a bit pricey, and the point system is not good...it takes alot to "earn" free stuff here. It is however, a decent, clean venue, I love watching movies, so I wish they'd replace the seats/layout and be more generous with points/"free stuff" or lower their prices in my honest opinion, and also the staff doesn't close the doors when the movies start, so after you sit through tv ads(i Hate that theaters show these now!), then a bunch of movie trailers (which i don't mind this), you then have lobby light/noise coming into the theater as you try to watch a movie...I hope they make changes or I'll drive farther out of my way to frequent Kendall 11 which is awesome, but now farther away! The best thing for me about NCG is it's very convenient location to me now,...

I had the worst experience ever tonight at this theatre .1st the guy that waited on us charged us $15 extra that we should've paid for, still refused to give my friend her money back..went to get our ice and there was no ice in all 3 of them..went to counter told the guy there was no ice he looked at us like we were stupid, he walks over to the ice machine tried it, no ice like I said, he told me to wait about 15 mins and maybe the ice would come out, are u serious, he walked away, we went to go get our pops and what do u know there was no pop coming out all of them said not available. Told the guy again and he tells me one more time wait 15 mins .I told him we don't have 15mins the movies going to start..asked for a manager and the manager named Hank, I believe his name was I told him what had all happened and he looked at me and said well the soda and ice does run out sometimes u know., Not to mention they were already opened for an hour before we got there! ...I told him ok I understand that but when someone tells u they're all broke then u fix the problem and he smirked thinking it was funny..needless to say we did NOT get our money back for nothing..went to theatre where the movie was playing, as we were 10 mins late for and the the movie wasnt even full screen and the lights were on couldnt even see the movie..went and told the manager and guy working to turn the lights off we cant see the movie..they still didnt help us..I'm beyond pissed and we had to spend $62 for absolutely nothing at all!!!.I will NEVER GO HERE AGAIN!!!! They did not do anything to accommodate us whatsoever!! Now...

Went to see a movie friday night at 9:30 half hr into the movie went to get a refill on popcorn and drinks lets just say the computer system for the drinks was super slow and glitchy... but what really left me scratching my head was the fact that they cleaned the popcorn machine and said that i couldnt get anymore popcorn after spending the extra money specifically for popcorn for my family we got told they werent serving anymore and thrown it all away. So at the end of the show i wanted to figure out why so i stood around for 15 min and couldnt find a single person who worked there. It took me going behind the counter and pounding on the door to get any help. When i spoke to the man about why they would allow people to spend money on popcorn if they knew they were going to stop serving it a half hr into us being there. He said they do that every night for late night shows.?? The fact of the matter was they didnt want to pay their employees to stay after the show was over to clean the popcorn machine supposedly. Well it would have been nice to know before i spent my money on popcorn. I will not go back. Who wants to go to a movie theater on FRIDAY night and get told they arent serving popcorn..... the theater was super small to top it off figured the 3d theater would be bigger and more relaxing but everyone was crammed on top of eachother. Half hr into the movie they also turned the air conditioning off it got hot and stuffy. Just way to many complaints about this theater...
