Sleep World — Attraction in Brooksville

I suffer from a back injury due to a car accident. My old bed wasn’t doing it anymore. I decided to shop around like any normal person would do. I wanted something nice, to help me sleep, help my back. Not an old spring mattress, not foam like a Tempur-pedic. I was looking for a natural latex bed or a hybrid, something in the middle.

One day I was driving and I seen a sign that said Sleep World but I drove by ignored it. I hit up all the name big box stores we’re all familiar with. Mattres-Firm etc. I went to furniture stores and even Sam's Club. I looked into a bed in a box from online retailers. One thing I kept coming across was how expensive mattress have gotten. What I was looking for/ wanted was way out of my price range. I am not dropping $4-$5k on a mattress. Then I remembered that little shop. Sleep World.

I took the time to drive there. I parked and I went inside. Not the biggest place, but it was warm and inviting. There were a few beds lined up on each side and I like that. Unlike these big box stores that have 20-30 even 40. You get confused on what bed you were looking at and how it felt. It wasn’t like that here. I walked in and I was greeted right away and was told to try anything out. I noticed that the gentleman/ employee was helping out another guest so I decided to do as he said and just lay and try out the beds.

As I was testing out the bed the gentleman came over after concluded business with the previous guest, introduced himself to me as Chris. He was very detailed and explained to me a bunch of information. I decided to think on it.

A few weeks pass and When I walked in he immediately recognized me and I was very impressed. Greeted me same as before, cheerful happy, wanted to help. We again went over to the beds that I liked and I told him that I don’t know what to pick between the two. He told me that he and his wife own one of the beds.

I pulled the trigger and went with the Utopia mattress. I wanted to be extra so I got myself a king. When he told me the price was $ I couldn’t believe it. A king size mattress for 1/3 the cost of the big box stores and furniture places. I said sure let’s do it. Chris then offered extras, pillows, protector sheet, that kind of stuff. I told him what I really wanted was an adjustable base but I can not afford that.

He then said sure you can and proceeded to tell me about how we can make that work and that because I’m buying from him and he appreciates my business he’s going to give me a good deal on the base The deal he gave me was to good to be true. I felt like I was robbing him, so I took the deal. I got the adjustable base. Not only that but Chris said you don’t have to pay it all now, give me a deposit and then when we deliver the items just pay the rest on delivery. I said sure but it wasn’t needed because the price I paid for a king size mattress and an adjustable base, I was extremely happy.

I told Chris that I had a medical note for a prescription mattress that would exclude me from paying taxes. He said that’s no problem or will not affect the price I gave you. I gave him the note from my doctor and true to his word he didn’t change any prices. Chris kept all the discounts in place and did not change one thing.

Chris got me a really good deal and he was very happy to do business with me. I asked him how could he give me such a good deal. I found out that Chris owns that shop. That’s he’s a family man. That he values connections and his clients. He wants things done the right way. The old fashion way.

All I can say is wow. This is a small business owner who actually cares about his customers. You don’t see that anymore with these big box stores or even just in general. The fact that he took the time to talk to me, answer my questions and get me a really nice bed/ base at such an awesome deal. That is amazing.

We are new to the area so we were not too familiar with places to go. We were in the market for a new bed/mattress. A little google research and we were off to check out beds/mattresses. Sleepworld was the 3rd and final place we checked out. We consider ourselves very fortunate they were on our list of places to check out. Chris was in the store that day and he basically rolled out the red carpet for us. He told us he would deliver the mattress we picked out that day. We also had purchased an adjustable bed frame that he had to order so in the mean time he offered us a bed frame and box springs to allow us to use our new mattress until the new frame came in. Just as he had said, he and his son showed up that afternoon with our mattress along with a bed frame and box springs for temporary use until the adjustable came in. Both were very polite and respectful. They did the same when the adjustable frame came in. They both delivered it and were very careful and courteous during their visit. They also were very careful and respectful of the room contents while setting up the frame for us as well. I say that because they were working in very tight quarters so things could have easily got banged around a bit but they didn't. You can not go wrong with this small family owned business. My fiancé Manny and I just purchased a condo and we were looking for a queen size mattress for our guest room. We checked so many mattress companies on line and saw all the great reviews for Sleep World, so we decided to go take a look. The owner, Chris was so friendly and helpful in our search for the right mattress. The prices were extremely reasonable and the quality of the mattresses were beyond our expectations, not to mention free delivery the SAME day!!!! Chris delivered the mattress himself!!!!
