Worth the stop. We were just visiting town and our local friend told us about this cute bridge. We missed the pull off at first, but there was just enough parking in the small lot. It was a beautiful day with beautiful views, great scenery, & plenty of historical reference around the area so we could read about the bridge. We learned from our friend that a nearby bridge within site used to have a lower level for cars to drive across, but it was taken out when a local lady got stuck sideways in it! It was a beautiful bridge & had a quaint feel to it. You could feel it sway or flex just a bit - part of the fun of this style bridge. Worth a stop!

Picturesque suspension foot bridge over a soothing river flow. This is a nice US1 stop to stretch your legs and take in some local history. Parking is very limited with 5 total spaces including 1 ADA. No other amenities. I included a couple pics of the up river train trestle accessible by the river trail opposite US1.

Pedestrian Bridge with an interesting history. Built so that French Canadian mill workers could walk to work from their homes across the Androscoggin River. Good views as you walk across and there's a paved walking trail on the other side. Parking is extremely limited.

This was an amazing place to go and get away for a quick minute it’s so fun to see new things especially the family of ducklings we got to see traveling across the pond. You could see the sun reflect of the natural ripples of the surface water made by the wind. Doge are cool there just make sure you...
