My family came here on a weekly basis for a long time. We have been rather busy and out of state a lot recently, but we are always happy with our meal and the service when we do make it in. Quite by accident it became our go- to place for the weekends.

All of the staff is prompt and courteous, but our young daughter especially likes the woman server, as she has been very kind to her.

We don't have any true criticism, but if you are familiar with Indian cuisine I'd say to read the menu carefully. My wife is Punjabi and we were excited to order dal mahkni (a Punjabi dish) because we had not had it since moving to Maine. When it arrived we were disappointed to see that it was made with yellow dal and the spices were different. In a way this was our fault because the menu stated the ingredients very clearly. Not a big deal, especially because the only Indian grocer we know is in Portland and we've spoken with him about how difficult it is to get supplies to Maine, but something to be aware of if you're looking for something...

Not for lunch. We called and ordered some Chicken Tikka Masala and a veggie dish at noon, went to pick it up and it was $40. When I asked about the price (AFTER he swiped my card), I was told that Chicken Tikka Masala wasn't offered for the $9.50 lunch special. Mind you, they didn't mention it at noon when I was ordering, they didn't give me a total when I was ordering, they told me it would be 25 minutes and when I showed up (25 minutes later) they took my card and swiped it and then handed me the recipet so I could give them a tip...only then did I see the $40 total. Then the guy went into the back and I guess filled up a take out container with that nights "Dinner" Chicken Tikka Masala and charged us $17 for it. It was shady and they knew it was shady and that's how it goes, I guess...so now I know. I like supporting local business so I'm fine to pay the hidden extra price, but I'll only fall for it once. Won't be retuning. But at least I know now...and now YOU...

We have recently had multiple issues with our order pertaining to rice. If we order one meal that comes with rice, we get one large rice box. If we order two meals with rice, we get one rice box and that isn't enough for two people especially with the cost of Indian dining. So, to remedy this the last time we ordered takeout we paid for another box of rice. No problem, on our part as we are willing to pay a little extra for more rice, which is a pretty cheap food. When we got home with the food, we did not have two full sized boxes. We had one full sized box and one that was about 1 quarter the size of a normal box. It was honestly pretty hilarious when we first discovered this but also disheartening because once again, we have two meals with rice and basically one portion of rice with a baby rice portion. I don't really know what is going on here but to charge for what should be a normal part of a meal and then skimp on it, is a bit...

I recently ordered takeout from Shere Punjab on Maine Street in Brunswick, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. There’s no dine-in option currently due to staff shortage, but the takeout service was prompt and polite, which I appreciated. Sadly, the food quality was very poor. The chole was undercooked, the naan was hard and barely chewable, and the onion bhajiya were extremely oily, they were literally floating in oil. I really wanted to support a local place, but the taste and texture were off across all dishes. For the price, it wasn’t worth it. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant until they improve food preparation and consistency. The service was decent, but the meal itself fell far short of expectations.

Shere Punjab stands as one of Brunswick’s culinary gems, offering a dining experience that is nothing short of exceptional. This small and cozy establishment excels in delivering authentic and flavorful dishes, complemented by courteous and polite staff who ensure a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The prices are also impressively reasonable, making it a standout option in the area. The Samosas make for an excellent start to the meal, setting the stage for the spectacular Biryani that follows. To conclude, the Masala Chai and Gulab Jamun offer a perfect finish, closing the meal with a flourish of rich and satisfying flavors. Ambiance: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Food Quality: 5/5 Value for Money: 5/5 Location: 5/5

TL;DR It was a great experience and the food was delicious. Ate here for the first time for lunch today. Fantastic spicing and had a heat level system of 1-10. I had the lunch serving of Chicken Masala, heat level 8. It had a wonderful, thick sauce and the chicken was tender. Heat was enough to make my nose run, just like I enjoy :3 the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. They did an amazing job keeping our waters filled. I also got to try the lunch serving of Chicken Curry, heat level 8. It was delicious, too. Forgot to take photos of our food, but they had a cute window seating area.
