I've ordered here (Online, pick-up myself) a total of five times. The first visit we all enjoyed a nice, new pizza place in the area! Second time, we all ordered identical pizzas. Unfortunately, every pizza order came out completely different: [I LOVE mushrooms] ...hardly any mushrooms, except one time, when there was a young girl working - a child, near the holidays... I assume she made it, cuz it was loaded and It was delicious! We typically go for pizza once a week. Usually, it's ordered from the Cabin, in Bath. Every visit I/we spend over $100. and, typically get 3+ pies (4-5 people here) I always ask for, and pay extra for Pepperoni - extra mushrooms. The mushrooms, virtually non-existent four times of five orders. Three times the crust was burned; And, y'know, I really enjoy my pizza well-done. (It can be a fine line) I used to work in a mom/pop pizza establishment: prep & cook home-made; I do know how to make a magnificent pizza. Perhaps it's a training issue, or turnaround rate...I can't be the only one. I've since learned to ask for a traditional "Old school" sauce, rather than the chunky tomato sauce they use on the regular - I just prefer it. The last order we tried something new: Mashed Potato Bacon Scallion. No one could eat an entire slice. It was wet, burned, piled with potato & Scallions. It was just too much! I'm thinking the problem must be a personnel issue. Perhaps stick to one good cook(er) and one good pie maker. When done right, this is really good pizza. Poorly trained non-caring employees (I believe) cause the poor results.
I think I'll wait a few months and give it time to become more consistent: I LOATHE throwing food away, especially money.
Hopeful things turn around for you guys. ~Rod (Local Fat Man)...
Read moreWe LOVE Otto! They recently catered the dinner portion of our wedding reception, and they were an absolute dream to work with. Yummy pizza and salads, and Brian and his team were incredibly friendly, accommodating, positive, and professional!
We wanted low-key catering that would be affordable but still delicious and beautiful, and this was perfect -- we took care of the plates and cutlery ourselves, and set up the buffet table for them beforehand, and then they showed up and made the salads and set out the hot yummy pizzas and manned the buffet area as guests served themselves. They even served up the salads for us family-style in a mix of wooden and china salad bowls from my family, which made things beautiful and homey.
Brian and the Otto team were a perfect solution for our budget and the atmosphere we wanted to set for dinner -- festive, beautiful without being formal, casual in a homey and friendly way without feeling fast-foody. We'd hire them again for another event (or just drop by for a slice) in...
Read moreOtto's has, by far, the best pizza we have ever had. We needed to drop a Uhaul off locally and googled pizza and found this amazing little place with this superior offering. Wonderfully cooked thin crust pizza with a great blend of cheese and the best tomato puree on top of the cheese. I started with my basic plain old cheese pizza (delicious!) and moved on to a total new taste experience in a pie topped with spinach, garlic (YES - chunks!), and kalamata olives and this was amazing. My only regret is that there is no Otto's in the Rockland area!!! The restaurant is a small, intimate bar setting with a superior bartender who addresses any and all needs very quickly and professionally. The music and tv's have a low enough volume that you can easily carry on a conversation and this would be a great place for a date night or even a family pizza night. Super clean, as well, as this is an older building and that is not always easily achieved. BEST pizza experience EVER! SO glad Google found this amazing...
