My son who is 5 wanted a magic wand, you can't see inside the boxes they are all taped so we just grabbed one and went to see what it looked like at the register. My son has autism and is impulsive so instead of even looking at others he just chose the one he picked blind eyed. I had no idea what this wand was even made of anyway fast forward TWO MINUTES AFTER I PAID, the tip broke off. I went right back in and asked them to exchange it, it literally tapped the car dog when getting in and broke, she looked at the other lady (kind of like "oh this again" reoccurring thing that keeps happening. The other lady told me after you walk out on the store you can't return anything. And pointed to a tiny paper on the desk. I explained that I just paid 20 dollars for this thing two minutes prior but they refused to help. When we got home he was playing with it and it fell on the floor and it literally just shattered in 5 peices. It seems to be made out of some type of resin. The store employees knew this wasn't something for a child and still sold it to a 5 year old autistic child who is now devastated his wand is completely broken. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE ESPECIALLY FOR CHILDREN OF ANY AGE. They should tell parents these aren't for children instead of being theives and just taking the money knowing in minutes the thing will break with just a tap!!! Also the drinks are disgusting especially off the kids menu over 35 dollars...

I cannot even begin to describe how utterly disappointing and infuriating our experience was. We drove an hour and a half from North Jersey, eagerly anticipating a magical visit. Google clearly stated that the cloaks and wands would be open until 8pm, so we arrived at 5:57pm, thinking we had more than enough time. But to our shock and frustration, we were told they had closed at 6pm. Not only was this a complete contradiction to the information provided online, but the treatment we received was downright appalling.

Instead of showing any understanding or courtesy, the employees were rude and condescending, yelling at us like we had committed some grave offense by arriving just minutes before closing. It was as if we were an inconvenience to them, and their hostile attitude made us feel like we weren’t even welcome. This was far from the magical experience we had imagined—this was a nightmare wrapped in disrespect and complete indifference.

To make matters worse, the employees didn’t just rush us out, they actually made us feel humiliated. It was as if they couldn’t care less about their customers, leaving us with a sense of betrayal. What’s the point of visiting a place that promises magic if the people running it can’t even treat you with basic decency? We left feeling disrespected and beyond disappointed. Don’t waste your time or energy here—you will leave feeling like a complete...

This place is incredible! I visited for the first time (it only opened a few months ago) on a day trip to Peddlers Village. It's actually the shop's second location--the other one is in Mystic, Connecticut. Not only does it have all sorts wizard-themed swag for sale (Harry Potter stuff is a given, of course, but there's also general fantasy stuff and even some Stranger Things merchandise), it's got special decor all over the shop--moving "portraits", a fake fireplace with a cauldron, a trunk of brooms that opens and closes by itself. Best of all, it features a "potions bar"...specialty sodas and hot chocolates. It was too warm and humid for me to order hot chocolate, but I ordered a "wizard beer" soda...butterscotch with half-and-half and whipped cream. It was delish! You can also personalize your drink with different flavors. The only thing about the place I'd change--and I mentioned as much to the workers--is that they ought to have a few comfy chairs and side tables in the huge space in front of the potions bar near the fake fireplace. But they said that it gets so busy on the weekends that they might not have room for it. I hope they reconsider, especially before the cooler weather sets in...after all, what's a cup of hot chocolate without a comfy place to sit and drink it, preferably with a book? And it would make it look all the more like one of the Hogwarts...

Wonderful magical-themed store located in Peddlers Village. Heavily focused on Harry Potter, they sell licensed Harry Potter merchandise as well as Hocus Pocus merch, and other witchy franchises. In addition to merchandise they have custom drinks available for purchase. The store is usually crowded, as many fans flock to enjoy their favorite magical genres and try the drinks inspired by their favorite franchises. The Witches Brew is a very popular drink and is similar to the Butter Beer from Harry Potter. (I think it's actually tastier than the cold Butter Beer from Universal). I would like to try a hot version during the cold months, but they only offer hot chocolate and were sold out when I visited this weekend. I wish they offered a steamed milk with the Witches Brew flavors and also had a separate register to purchase merchandise instead of everyone ordering drinks checking out at the same counter. If you enjoy magic and witchy wonders, grab your broomstick and fly over, or drive over and buy one when you visit.

I've been to Cloak and Wand a few times and it is definitely worth a look every so often as it changes a little each and every time. They predominantly have HP stuff but you can find other mystical favorite related items. The drink bar is definitely cool. You can get a special made drink to go and enjoy throughout Peddler's Village. The store is a little tight so during busy times don't be shocked that you are close to being shoulder to shoulder with other people. The staff is super friendly as well which always makes for a great experience. I uoaded some older photos but I usually update my reviews throughout the years with newer photos and experiences.
