The Show at Shea's Seneca, located at 2188 Seneca Street in Buffalo, New York, is a beautifully restored venue with a rich history and cultural significance. Originally established in 1929, it was known as Michael Shea's 'Movie Palace', playing a pivotal role in the entertainment landscape of South Buffalo. This historic landmark, which has been a part of the community for over a century, is celebrated for its opulent restoration that honors its past. The venue is renowned for its lavish decor that embodies the exuberant style of the jazz age, seamlessly blending historical charm with modern amenities. It has been a defining landmark in South Buffalo, representing not just the architectural beauty of the bygone era but also the city's rich history and cultural heritage. Shea's Seneca, affectionately known as 'The Show' for decades, has brought joy to generations of Buffalonians. Its restoration and continued use as a venue for modern events, such as weddings and receptions, allow it to maintain its status as an architectural gem and a cherished part of Buffalo's heritage.

It was a beautiful venue, but a bit disappointing. The area where we watched the candlelight concert was pretty bland, not as many candles as you'd expect but whatever. The AC was turned off or lowered prior to the start of the show and with it being a filled room, it got pretty warm. Even the performers were complaining which I can't even imagine dealing with that. The chairs we sat in were awful and super uncomfortable. Again, the poor performers had to sit in them too. And lastly, the family bathroom had a used pad on the floor which was absolutely disgusting and obviously the staff can't control how gross people can be but it made me wonder how often the bathrooms were checked? Not completely sure I'd go back to this venue for a show, to be honest.

We had our event at The Show at Sheas Seneca and it was marvelous! Their whole team did a great job making it run smoothly and the place is just absolutely gorgeous! I highly recommend this venue for your next event.

My husband and I had our wedding reception at The Show and I cannot rave enough about how incredible this venue, the managers, and the staff all are! While on our initial walkthrough, we knew almost immediately this was the venue for us. There isn't a single space that isn't gorgeous from the main ballroom to the bar to the bridal suite to even the bathrooms.

The stunning architecture, details, and decor all speak for themselves, but the manager Lisa really sold us. She was just as invested in our vision as we were and was amazing to work with throughout the entire planning process. No idea ours was too big of an ask and she made us feel so accommodated. Sara, another event manager at The Show who we met closer to our big day, was also wonderful! They both worked so well with all of our vendors too which made the day go seamlessly.

Beyond that, the entire staff was awesome! We didn't spend a lot of time at the bar during the reception, but we heard from so many guests about how friendly the bartenders were and how fast they made every drink -- and the bar has a very expansion selection no less!

I simply can't find a negative thing to say about this space and it was an absolute dream to host such a significant event there. It made the day even more memorable than we could...

Absolutely stellar experience at The Show at Shea’s Seneca! From start to finish, Lisa Vitello and her entire team were nothing short of exceptional. We hosted our annual Military Ball, a formal, prom style celebration for our NJROTC high school cadets, and could not have imagined a more accommodating, professional, and gracious staff.

Lisa was incredibly flexible in every stage of planning and execution. When a last-minute timeline mix-up occurred during our event, she and her team responded with calm, care, and total adaptability never skipping a beat. They made adjustments seamlessly and with a genuine desire to support our event’s success.

The venue itself is stunning, but it's the people behind it who made it a perfect night. Every cadet, parent, and staff member walked away impressed and grateful for an unforgettable evening.

I wholeheartedly recommend The Show at Shea’s Seneca for any event, from elegant high school dances to milestone celebrations and everything in between. If you want a venue that combines beauty, professionalism, and a truly accommodating spirit, look no further. Lisa and her team will take...
