This review is for parents that are needing help on where to send their kids for Summer Camp, Winter Break, or Spring Break. We make an effort to send our daughter here when feasible due to its wonderful program. The program with Art for Life is a great choice for either girls or boys. I stress this because not enough boys are given the opportunity to enjoy the arts for painting, crafting, wood working, cinematic, etc. Their daily schedule is broken down into time slots for activities, outside play etc. For example, 9:10 - 11:45 AM: Art Projects 11:45 - 12:00 PM: Snack Break etc... Each day, the camp emphases on the type of art the students are working on (for example Holiday characters, Squishmallow 2D and 3D projects) in addition to respecting nature & being outdoors (they play out back) which offers tons of opportunities for students to learn & grow through these type of experiences. Our daughter loves interacting with all of the teachers & assistants as they help the students learn the activity for the day. Her favorite thing has been the Stop motion (also known as stop frame animation). This style of animated filmmaking and special effects technique is where students physically manipulate objects in small increments between individually photographed frames so that they will appear to exhibit independent motion or change when the series of frames is played back. We have attended here for two years now & our daughter simply loves it. They offer a fruit snack (typically citrus) along with water for the students. The only downside (as a working parent) is their classes are offered earlier in the day & I wish they had more options for 530-630 parents so I could bring my daughter to her afterschool art classes. Something that I think it pretty rare to see is Art for Life offers a Spanish art classes (which I wished were offered at a later time) to teach the students vocab while immersing them in the language. Lastly, sometimes they have trouble sending over finished work with the animation. I would love if they could streamline better this process so parents could see the hard work their child put into the projects. It's easier to remind kids to take their finished art with them but stop animation are emailed over. Leaving this amazing review might mean their camps will fill up, but this is a very rare gem of a class that really focuses on their student's individuality & feeds into their growth. Their owner is a very kind & lovely person which helps both parents & students feel comfortable. Thank you...
Read moreJoanna and her husband were so genuinely kind and welcoming, the place even smelled welcoming with the aromatherapy as soon as we stepped in. They went out of their way to ensure myself, my parents, and my child were happy and comfortable. The music was just perfect and it added to the great vibe and ambiance. Joanna did an amazing job assisting the group and she made each step fun and seamless. We all felt comfortable and confident with our art. This was my first time here and I will most definitely be back! Money well spent and memories to last a lifetime. Thank you Art For...
Read moreI absolutely love this place!
I have gone several times for girls night out, date nights, birthdays and my 8 yr old boy joined their summer classes last year, he can't wait to go back again this summer.
The instructor Joana is amazing, she is very patient, she knows how to work with all types of artistic levels and my paintings always come up real great (they are all hanging on a wall).
Fun environment and location is just perfect, Mall of GA is just around the corner so you know that there are many great places to grab a bite after or before having a great time at...
