We used Jos A Banks for our Tux rentals in our wedding in August and there was not one part of the process that was easy at all! First off, some of the staff members had terrible communication skills. The lady that helped us originally would not listen to what we wanted to rent, kept over-speaking our wants and kept trying to push us to buy even though we didn’t want that option for all of our groomsmen. We eventually left that day frustrated with her and tried another day with a different staff member. The second time they listened more to what we wanted, however we had made some changes in the colors of the tux. We went up to the store with appropriate timing before the wedding to make changes and we were there for about an hour and the staff verbalized the correct changes they were to make. As the bride I show up to my wedding and while the colors were correct, all the groomsmen were in ties instead of the bow ties we told the store we wanted. One of our groomsman’s tie was also very short, like a children’s tie and he had to wear a jacket all day in the middle of august to prevent it from looking ridiculous. A lot of the guys tuxes we’re too big/baggy and didn’t look like appropriate fits. Would not recommend Jos A Banks for your wedding rentals! Highly...
Read moreWalked in and asked a rep to look up if I had any reward credits. I thought I might have one $50 credit. They told me I had 3 $50 credits. I asked 3 times to double check that because I didn't think I had that many reward points. He said yes you have $150 in points. So I went shopping. The staff for me was way too pushy. They will straight up stalk you. Also the price on the products were not what they rang up for so you never know the real price until you check out. I looked at a pair of shoes that I wanted to buy they told me one shoe was on display and one not and didn't they didn't look the same. The rep looked for another pair in one size bigger. When I looked at that pair one shoe looked very worn and the other new they really looked like crap but this pair was supposed to be new. I bought the pair that was on display and no discount offered. When I got to the check out they let me know I didnt have any reward points he said I had and he read it wrong. I never had a good experience with this JAB. In my opinion don't waste your time. Go to Men's warehouse. I have had a much better experience there. I have bought 20 plus suits on the last 2 years so I am not an expert but feel I have...
Read moreI bought a navy suit as part of a "Buy One, Get Three Free" promotion. Sounded good at the time, but it appears I foolishly mistook the exaggerated mark-up on the suit as evidence of its quality. In less than a year, the pants completely disintegrated right at the crotch.
I believed it was reasonable for me to politely ask to exchange the pants for a matching pair, since clothes don't usually fall apart after less than a year of use in my experience. Assistant Manager (with big, stupid grin on his very punchable face): "Oh no, there is nothing we can do about that, they're worn out." Me: "In less than a year? Is that normal for your suits?" Assistant Manager: "You know, if you buy a car, and it... um..." Me: "..."
Avoid Joseph A. Bank. They sell overpriced, poor quality suits and scam you with their "Buy 1 Get 12 Free" cheap marketing ploy. I learned my lesson and won't be back. You get what...
