Just moved to the area & have not been to a Texas Roadhouse in a while & always had amazing service & good food in the past. But tonight was not the case. As soon as we sat down we had bread & within a minute, our waitress Samantha was on top of it & get our order & drinks. We knew what we wanted & was ready to eat. So definitely appreciate all that but thats where it went all down hill for me. As soon as our appetizer came & also my fiance side salad we did not have no napkins or utensils to eat with. Sat there for a good while trying to get help and after our waitress walked by multiple times & not glancing around at tables I finally got help from someone else. Cold appetizer now but here we are. Food took a normal amount of time to make as I got the Prime Rib 16oz. Once my food came my drink was empty & could not get no help from the waitress on this & had to ask a busback for that. And seen her walk by without checking too many times to count. Then as I'm waiting im eating my steak & started to see something was off with it. It was not like it is normally nor cooked right. When my drink came i asked what's wrong with my prime rib & was told it's cause it was marinated in auju sauce. This was the most disgusting & disappointing steak I've ever had. And could not eat it no more. Thinking to myself maybe this is my fault, let me look at the menu & see if I missed it, nope & nothing about that. At this point I'm done & gave my card to my fiance & went to the car. Did have a talk with the manger but I felt like I was talking to a robot that did not know how to deal with this situation. Got home & looked to see if thats a thing they do to prime rib but don't see nothing about it. So I was lied too & served some disgusting steak but even if they do. This is not a normal thing & should be told or at least had that info on the menu. Spent way too much money to get half butt service with a nasty steak. How hard is it to bring utensils with my food & keep my drink good. Is that asking too much. But at the same time she knew something was off & could have just been real & said my bad let me do better. We are all human but I didn't ask u to come to work, you did. So can we at least do the basics? Is that asking too much. Maybe I'm just out of my time cause service & food ain't what it used to be most of the time. Better to just cook my own...
Read moreDisappointing Experience at Texas Roadhouse – Buford Location
I’m writing this review with a heavy heart because Texas Roadhouse has been one of my absolute favorite restaurants for nearly two decades. It’s the kind of place I’ve always relied on for fun, attentive service, great food, and an overall incredible experience. Unfortunately, my recent visit to the Buford location on Friday night left me deeply disappointed—and for the first time ever, I regretted spending my money there.
I arrived solo after a long day, excited to unwind at the bar with my favorite margaritas, those irresistible dinner rolls with cinnamon butter, and a great meal. Kayla was my bartender, and I had high hopes that the Texas Roadhouse magic would shine through as usual. Sadly, it didn’t.
From the start, Kayla’s attitude felt cold and dismissive. She was short with me multiple times, never checked in to ask if my food was okay, and didn’t offer to refill my drink. In fact, another bartender had to bring me my dinner rolls. By the time Kayla finally came near enough for me to order more, she said, “I thought I already handed you your check,” as if I wasn’t welcome to linger or enjoy myself. I told her I’d like another drink, dessert, and a to-go order for my husband. She gave me an odd look, jotted the order down—but still didn’t follow the instructions I gave her.
To make matters worse, my margaritas were watered down, and while my chicken fried chicken was good, it lacked the signature seasoning I expect from TRH. The salad was fantastic, as were the dinner rolls (as usual), but these highlights couldn’t make up for the lackluster service.
The bottom line is this: customer service is everything. Kayla didn’t make me feel valued or welcomed, and it was a stark contrast to the warm, attentive hospitality that has made me a loyal Texas Roadhouse customer for so long. She needs to understand the importance of creating a great experience, especially when I could have chosen to spend my money elsewhere.
This was the worst $100+ I’ve ever spent at Texas Roadhouse, and I honestly feel like I need a do-over. Here’s hoping this feedback inspires the team to improve, because I want to keep loving Texas Roadhouse for many...
Read moreVisited here on a busy Friday night. We did the online waitlist which helped somewhat with the wait. Parking is awful, not any fault of the restaurant, they just need more parking for sure. We ended up parking in a shopping strip next door after circling many times. From the time we entered, we were immediately greeted and checked in. The wait was maybe 10 minutes after that to be sat at our table. Our server, Lisa, was amazing. She was spot on with the service, orders came out perfectly as ordered. She was very good at letting us know food was on the way, etc., just excellent communication. The food was amazing, I got the 11 oz sirloin with loaded mashed potatoes and a side salad with ranch. I got the Legendary Margarita and it was fantastic. We also ordered the cactus blossom which was fresh and delicious. I ordered the steak medium, and it came out as a perfect medium; I couldn't have asked for a better cook. The steak was super flavorful, quite possibly the best steak I have had. The loaded mash and salad were delicious and fresh. Kids got the cut up kids steak and mini cheeseburgers, both with fries. They loved those as well. We had a manager visit our table as well during our dining experience to ensure everything was going well and to make sure we didn't need anything else. The tables have the trivia game you can play with other diners across the country also at TR locations, which was pretty cool. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and although this location stays extremely busy, it is for valid reason (and of course, location being close to Mall of Georgia). The staff does an excellent job of moving customers in and out in a timely manner which is appreciated. My recommendation would to definitely join the waitlist before arrival, as it lowers your wait time and also provides an estimate of wait time so you know what to expect. We will definitely be back...
