Burlington needs and deserves a new skatepark.
The town has been letting the locals down for 20 plus years since this went in. Especially since the big awesome halfpipe in the woods got taken down back around 06. They put the concrete half pipe in and it's never been good. All of the ramps in the park are designed to sit on concrete.... not asphalt. Since the park was quote new, the ramps have been sinking into the park since the second year of its existence And the same goes for right after their remodel back in 2018ish.
The town doesn't know what they're doing they need to hire a skatepark company to consult them on a completely new skatepark and guide them on maintenance/upkeep.
For the skaters actually trying to use the park* if you're new or haven't been in a while. You're going here for a flat ground sesh with the metal bench as a ledge. The two newer metal obstacles IE spine and wider quarter pipe are still in good shape but serve really only as aid for going back and forth skating flat. The newer flat ground is a bit smoother than it was before. Everything else in the park is rendered unskateable and very much so unsafe. Really serves as just a smoother parking lot to sum it up.
Bedford has some new ramps in it as of this year, Lexington is still solid, Tewksbury just got a remodel last year (the half pipe is fixed), and there's plenty of other places worth your time to skate like Salem MA, Derry, Malden, even Melrose is better than Burlington....

The halfpipe has no transition to the pavement so it’s also unskateable and dangerous. Families let their kids run all over the ramps even if there is someone skating. Better signage could fix the latter, but a redesign would be needed to...
