I was hoping to find a spot that has a decent halal burger without having to go all the way to Boston. Halal Eatz in Burlington delivers that and THEN some. It is a true family run spot.
I have tried the Spicy Jalapeno Burger, and it is currently my favorite burger in the Boston area. It comes with beef bacon, jalapenos, lettuce, tomato, onions, cheese, and a really nice spicy sauce. The heat level is not overwhelming by any means, but the jalapenos add an extra kick.
The cheesesteak is also really good here. It comes with the house sauce, which I wasn't a fan of in this context, so I ordered mine without. The steak is extremely well seasoned and cooked beautifully. The cheese is very well incorporated in the meat. I think next time, I'm going to add jalapenos just to mix it up. Top 3 in Boston for me.
The chicken burger and Nashville hot burger are some of the best halal chicken sandwiches you can get here. It is the closest thing I've had to a Pakistani style zinger burger. The coating is crunchy, and the chicken is juicy. My only minor critique is with the ratio of chicken to breading. I wish it had a little more chicken.
The chicken over rice is pretty standard. Chicken has good flavor. The hot sauce has some heat, and the white sauce is also good. I personally was not a fan of the beef/lamb, but that is just personal preference. It was also cooked really well.
The chicken tenders are very crispy. They almost have a corn flake type coating, which is quite unique. The fries here are extremely delicious. Very crispy outside, fluffy texture on the inside. Good potato flavor and well seasoned.
On a subsequent visit, I had the loaded cheese fries, which had a really great sauce and the fires were delicious as always.
I also tried the peri peri chicken sub. It was good, but not as good as their burgers and cheesesteaks.
The only drawback here is the limited seating area. But for a small party of 4 or less, it is great. Otherwise, you'll be eating in your car or a nearby park (weather...
Read moreI had the most disappointing experience at Halal Eatz. A month ago, we ordered a Biscoff milkshake, but instead received a peanut butter one. When we pointed this out, the staff went back and forth, insisting it was a Biscoff milkshake and laughing in our faces as we tried to explain. They didn't offer to remake the drink or do anything to resolve the situation. It was incredibly frustrating and unprofessional, and they didn't listen to us at all. Clearly, they don't care about customer service at all. Today, things got even worse. While enjoying the chicken wings, I found a hair on one of them. Absolutely disgusting. However, I will give them credit for being understanding when I raised the issue. They offered to refund my money or let me choose something else, but the damage was already done. Despite their attempt to make it right, I'm still very upset about both incidents. To make matters worse, the money she offered to refund still hasn't been sent back because she didn't know how to process it. We're trusting that she'll at least follow through on her word. I would love to support halal businesses, but this was just so disappointing. I honestly don't think I'll be coming back after such a terrible experience, especially given how they treated us during the previous mix-up. This place really needs to improve their customer service and food quality to match...
Read moreI recently called the restaurant to place an order, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing compared to the level of service I’ve always known this place for. The call was answered after quite a long wait, just as I was about to hang up. As soon as the person picked up, I was immediately placed on brief hold. I waited patiently, but no one ever came back to the line and did not even bother to call back!
This was surprising, because in the past the staff were always quick, attentive, and professional, which made ordering over the phone very smooth. It seems that the new person working at the front is struggling to manage customer calls effectively. Good customer service is just as important as the quality of the food, and experiences like this can easily turn away loyal customers.
I truly enjoy this restaurant and value the great service I’ve received before, which is why this experience stood out so strongly. I hope management takes note and ensures the same high standards of service are maintained consistently, regardless of who is...
