Second time going tonight! Ice cream is very tasty, and it doesn’t have that freezer burnt residue at all. Nice flavor choices.
I had messaged them on FB to ask about GF options and protocols, and they were super kind and clear. Really appreciated this. The staff have a little note behind the counter of which flavors are GF. They wash hands and use new scoops to get it out of spare containers, preventing cross contamination for those of us who are Celiac. Huge win!!
I know things are insanely expensive right now, but two kiddie sizes ran us almost $15. Generously portioned, yes, but still feels like a lot — hey, who knows. It’s tough to run a business these days, I get that.
The location is cute! Vintage interior. They make their own waffle cones, which you can smell cooking in the back. I’m sensitive to strong scents, so this heavy sugar smell actually bothers me a bit, but probably charming for most.
Definitely going to be going back all summer. Feel fortunate to have this place nearby when...
Read moreI don't give 5 stars too often, but it's hard for me to pass by this place and not go in for an ice cream cone. You can even get a sandwich and soup here. I get the "kiddie" size ice cream. It's supposed to be the smallest. If that's the smallest size, I'd like to see the biggest! I'm afraid to find out. I pick a booth and sit down; I fake reading my book so no one will think I went in there just to devour the "White Mountains!" I do believe the ice cream is made on the premises. I get "Burlington Heath Bar", and boy is it ever good. You have to go there. In the summer, you can wait in a long line, but it's well worth the trip. I went there today, to my favorite booth. I brought my book in to read it.
Edit: currently, you can no longer get a sandwich here, but do go in for the best...
Read moreTook my two girls for slush, they wanted cotton candy cause it was listed on the website but they only had two flavors. That was fine. What wasn't fine was that they charged $4.20 for a children's slush!!! When I ordered, she asked a children's and I said yes, your smallest. Then when I was rung up for $8.40, I asked how much a slush was and she said it's $4.20 no matter what you order. I don't think slush would be the same cost as ice cream. Also the slushes were huge but then I saw someone with a tiny cup of ice cream so I don't know where they messed up but I won't be returning. Felt robbed! My kids didn't even like the slush, they took about 10 bites, if that. Next day we went some place else for slush, $4.17 for two slushes that were just...
