Jim the manager was great, but my experience there was not great. My son celebrated his 8th birthday there he had fun. I tried to make a reservation but the tables were fully booked. So, I called the establishment the day of my sons bday to ask if there were any other tables to utilize as I was bringing 8 children. I was told there were about five community tables that are a first come first served bases so be sure to grab a table quick which I did. Upon arriving we found a table put our belongings down at the table (coats, stroller, bags) and I went to help remove my kids shoes at the inside park it took about 90 secs to do that. I came back immediately to a grown man and child sitting at the table. I said very nicely "Hey, sorry guys we are still sitting here" the man replied "well not anymore, we are going to eat here" , I said but all of our stuff is here, you cant sit here. He refused to move until I called my husband , he was very rude and looked like he wanted to kill us over a table. His wife and 4 other kids joined him at a different table. A few mins later my friend arrived with her son who has never been to grandslam, another family approached me as I was greeting them and asked if we were leaving. I responded no, we are just getting settled sorry. We went to the register to pay for the other child and immediately that family started to sit at the table. I went back to talk to them and they were also refusing to leave pointing at the sign that said "unattended items will be moved"! The man from earlier started to yell at us as well with the other family. Then I was approached by another woman who wanted to join in on the bullying. Obviously, adults are no better then kids these days so there should be more staff on the floor to intervene in situations like these. A brawl could have started due to all the disrespect over a table. My advice to any family who goes here if you have multiple young kids dont go without a reservation or you will be fighting over a table. You can not get up at any time not even...
Read moreI came here with my three siblings, my brothers got the VIP pass and my sister got the trampoline pass, which added up to 84 dollars (which is kind of expensive). The staff at the desk were friendly, but some of them looked pretty tired.
My siblings had a blast on the bumper cars, coming out grinning like Cheshire cats. Though they did report the room smelled like smoke and I saw the staff spraying something (probably to cover up the smell). The bummer car staff was a little tired.
The line for the laser tag was too long, so my siblings decided not to do it.
The play zone was a great way for them to burn energy and kept them busy for a while. There were many fun obstacles, and lots of kids were happily screaming and looking to be enjoying themselves. My siblings came out looking happy and sweaty, though my sister got hit with one of the balls in her eye and came out crying telling us that the balls were a little firm. The staff for the play zone looked to be snoozing and was distracted by his phone, not really doing much at all… But, I did see a play zone for toddlers too, which I think my cousin would have enjoyed.
At the trampoline area my siblings hopped, galloped and summersaulted around and were having fun. I appreciate the cushioning on the wall, which makes it safe if you bump the wall! My said brother it was fun, but could have had obstacles or targets.
The arcade was rigged, but what do you expect? (My sister was not even able to get a Tootsie roll with the tickets she won.)
The mini-golf course was beautifully decorated with the pirates of the Caribbean theme. My brother said it was fun, and was not too hard or too easy. My uncle also mentioned that he enjoys the golf course and...
Read moreWe held 2 Birthday parties in 2 weeks, Amazingly everything was great, the new indoor playground was a huge hit with the kids aged 7-10. Lazer tag is a nice facility with capacity of about 40 players by my estimation, games last a good period of time, fun for adults and kids. Bumper cars are nice, though the bumper car area is on the smaller side, didn't seem to effect it much. Pizza made in house was good, for the party. 3 hours was a good party time limit facilities were nice clean and appeared be well taken care of. Arcade games are on the expensive side, and we did not let the kids play them even though the package included 6 tokens per child, games averaged 2-4 tokens. We did not use the batting cages, the trampolines or the mini golf, but they all appeared nice. We felt the prices were fair and overall we were very happy, arrive early if you are hosting the party, the front desk can get a little bogged down, but overall we felt the staff all did a great job.
A couple years back we visited for a quick game of mini golf and I remember being disappointed in the general overall of Grand Slam, but it appears to be well run and maintained now, pleasantly surprised when we stopped in the check it out before hand planning...
