Soooooo precious. Make this a "must do" stop on your drive through via 75. No matter where you are going, you will love the local farm made items this store sells AND the people running the place ARE SO NICE I COULDN'T EVEN STAND IT! So honestly I really just wanted to buy everything in the place.
I got farm fresh local tomatoes and melt in your mouth sweet Georgia peaches that had such real flavor you can't find from these fruits in the grocery store. Real natural flavors that you don't even know you are missing until you taste them again.
They also had shelves and shelves of pickled everything in a variety of flavors (some very local and some very exotic). There was also shelves full of jams and marmalade's of all flavors and the much anticipated pecans also in a variety of flavors.
You have got to try the fresh made peach ice cream as well. It was made of magic and rainbows! Honestly it was so fresh and delightful all thoughts of my diet went out the window and I didn't remotely care! The day I went they also had freak strawberry, but when in Georgia :)
They also sell local artisan items like elderberry flour mixes and local "a girl's and a goat" soaps that smelled incredible and were crafted so beautifully I had to buy those as well.
This little unassuming shop is worth the extra stop on route to whereever...
Read morePretty sure this is the first negative review I've left, but don't want others to go out of their way and make the same mistake I did. More below, but what was really disappointing for me was the peach ice cream. I literally could not taste peaches in the soft serve ice cream at all. Two others in my family tasted it too and said the same thing. It didn't taste awful and did have some bits of what appeared to be peaches in it - but there was just a sweet custard taste and no peach flavor. Very odd. Keep in mind that I love all things peach. (Peaches, peach pie, peach cobbler, peach honey, etc.) Tried to exchange it for a cup of strawberry (the other flavor they offer), but the guy said no- so I ended up throwing away my $5.25 cup of ice cream in the trash at the gas station next door. Maybe they didn't put as much in since peaches are currently out of season? Prices are more than double what previous reviewers have stated. For example, package of dried okra is now $11.95- and is not $5, like a previous reviewer stated. They had a large variety of jars of exotic flavors of pickles from different manufacturers at $7.95 and up for a small jar, 5oz of chocolate covered pecans for $12.99, etc. I had high hopes for the overpriced ice cream, but it ended up in the trash and I ended up...
Read moreComing down 75 today...I saw a sign that said "PEACH COBBLER!" and although I was running late for an appointment I got off the exit to find this PEACH COBBLER in Byron, GA. Walked in like "ooh" "aah"... then noticed 2 employees... younger woman, older man... neither said a peep! No hey how you doing or a simple greeting. This is NOT SOUTHERN HOSPITALITY!! I almost turned around but I'm from da South and my mouth was watering for some peach cobbler. Walked around the store still zero acknowledgement. Another couple walked in SAME treatment! I went to register to ask about the cobbler. That's when the young lady answered questions. Anyway, based on their level of ZERO customer service I STILL bought this "cobbler". It's utterly disgusting!! There's no way anybody is thinking this blob of uncooked dough and dry ass peaches with not a hint of cinnamon, nutmeg, or vanilla is good! Save your money 💰 times are too hard for employees to have poor customer service and an even worse product to boot!
