Well, we all know I go to a lot of wineries. This is one of my new favorites. It is one of only two champagnes that I’ve ever truly liked enough that I bought an entire case to have shipped home. I also bought two of the desert wines. Honestly, every single one of the Reds I had was smooth and delicious and I wish I had them all in my collection. It’s one that I will have to go back to even if it cost me an entire airline flight just to go here. I want to spend more time at this one. They are all small batches and are not available anywhere else. Worth every penny. It’s on the corner not the one next to. It is just a liquor store that does tastings. I don’t know why Google maps has it that way. This is a true winery tasting room. And on top of that they have a lot of cute gifts. The staff was wonderful. The owner was magnificent. True dedication to the art. Thank you so much for...
Read moreI've been coming to Alapay Cellars for a few years now because I love every kind of wine they pour. The sparking cuvee is a great way to start the tasting and the light reds like cinsault are easy drinking for any afternoon. My favorites are the deeper reds like syrah, petite syrah, zin and cab. All have great personality and are delicious. My father bought half a case of the petite syrah because it was so good and I bought half a case of the Alatre blend.
I've met the owner Scott and he is always friendly and shares with us what wines he is working on. He does a wonderful job of creating delicious wines, some you will know and a few unknown varieties but very approachable. His staff is fun and wants to make sure you have a good experience, it's about the community not the sale. My wife has bought quite a few gifts from there shop too. We will definitely be back next time...
Read moreWe visit the area annually and always make time for Alapay. Over the last couple of years we have had different servers during our tastings. All the servers have been great. This visit, April 2025, we had the pleasure of meeting Jennifer. Her knowledge of the wines was informative and her timing between pours was good. We had enough time to try different items from a charcuterie board with the different wines. The live music was mellow and very comfortable making the atmosphere enjoyable. Not that you need the music but it's very nice when they do have it. This is one of our favorite places. Oh yeah, the wines are all very good. The wife likes whites and I prefer reds, however when we taste we both seem to cross over a bit. So I guess with that said, you will definitely find some that everyone will enjoy. Our favorite is the Rebekah Cab. Unbelievable...
