Read moreWe have been coming here close to 20 years as a family of four in a timeshare studio. We always really enjoy it and have a wonderful time. |We arrived to a beautifully remodeled room this time. Upon unpacking we discovered we had less space & no place to put items like before. ie: cushions from sofa bed, luggage, hats, purses, etc.|We felt it not practical for two adults and two young children and hereâs why⌠There is only one wardrobe and actually that is fine and it has two small drawers at the bottom of it and you can actually put a suitcase not too big up on top, but there is only one dresser and it has two small drawers on the top and four small drawers on the bottom of it and thatâs it. Itâs like 48â. The two small tables next to the bed are all open shelving|They have two storage cubes to sit on, but they donât open so you canât put anything inside of them so really theyâre just in the way. Also they took down the hooks that we used to hang our purses and coats, etc. So we have no place to put those, but just randomly all over.|While the vinyl plank flooring is nice, when you stay here for a week you need a broom and a dustpan. There is zero. Then we also found out that there was no safe in our room period which pretty much topped it off for us. |We did like the design that they picked out for the dining room table as it is now situated against the wall, instead of in the middle of the room, which made it a lot easier to get around in the room. |The new dishwasher and appliances fantastic! But I have to say all this money that you spent and you canât get one of those little things on the faucet in the kitchen that makes it so much easier to spray around the sink to clean it?? Come on you know how much water that would save? |Although having an electrical outlet in the lamp was nice. HDMI wouldâve been a step up and even nicer though. But hanging the TV on the wall instead of having it on sitting of the dresser, major upgrade. ||Now onto the very last thing we need to suggest to you when Tim was here I never saw the pool area quite like we did this time around. My mom says the pool area needs some definite attention. The edges of everything are dirty. The pooldeckThe drains are dirty. It just doesnât sparkle like we are used to seeing when we come here. Everything is usually top-notch and beautiful. She also mentioned that the pool itself is very inviting nice and clean. No complaints there whatsoever. Just in and around the pool area needed some attention. |The hotel staff is amazing! Extremely helpful to whatever your needs are. From the front desk to the maintenance guys, to the ladies that clean the rooms & the men that help them, management, everybody was wonderful. You have a wonderful group of people that work here for you. All in all we had a wonderful vacation we just wanted to make a few suggestions of some much needed thing that we noticed that might make everyoneâs stay here a little...
Read more"Guess beware", says Giants 4 Life guest. I wish I would have seen the post before staying at this property or bringing our bikes. I am writing for the same reason - I'm finally frustrated enough and you will understand why. From May 19-21, my husband and I stayed at San Luis Bay Inn for our anniversary. First time staying at the resort on the HILL. Not on the street, not in the town, but up on the hill. We are avid bike riders and brought our bikes to ride the area/ocean side. We parked and DOUBLE-LOCKED our bikes INSIDE the hotel. There is an area where bikes are parked in racks and locked so they don't go up to the room and/or are outside to be stolen. Unfortunately for us, on the morning we planned on riding, our bikes were not inside the holding area, but in fact racks moved around, locks broken, and bikes stolen! Ben Banks, Manager on duty said he was sorry and that there was nothing he could do and for us & to fill out documentation and submit a sheriff report - which we did immediately. There is no signage to "park bikes at own risk" inside our building! The front desk staff felt bad for us and asked us if the lock in her hand was ours. We said NO, guess another guest bike was stollen too - even a bike was left in the outside bushes when we walked the parking lot! The resort refused to state how we would be compensated and/or next steps. We asked for video footage which they found on the cameras showing two guys walking in with hoodies at 6:30am, and walking out a couple minutes later with our bikes. Two days later we received a call from the hotel with consolenses and that their risk management team, SEDGWICK would reach out. SEDGWICK reached out and we provided a phone replay of events, that the hotel has video footage, and the sherrif report. We followed up with a descriptive email of events, and the receipts for our bikes and gear (ie. lights, bags, etc), which they asked for. SWEDGWICK, Chalandira Hale said we would hear back in two weeks with written confirmation and/or a phone call if they have more questions. As of today, 9/30/22, I have written weekly to monthly since the encounter and received NO response via phone, email, or US mail. I even found Ms. Hales Manager, Laurel Wann to write. She won't return our calls/emails either. Please DON'T stay at this property with valuables - it's not...
