This was supposed to be a nice dinner out for my Birthday, and it turned into a disaster because of this restaurant. I'm SOOO Disappointed.
Please take the other reviews with a grain of salt as the food is not as good as they want you to believe. It is overpriced and blah.
First, we were sited outside, it was nice but took forever for staff to take our drink order. Then the table next to use wanted their heater on but it was too nice out for that, and we had to move inside or burn up from the heat. The seats are not comfortable either.
Once inside they didn't have the drink, we wanted so we were fine with ordering a different one later as we were paying, they found the drink we originally asked for and asked if we wanted a glass of it. LIKE WHAT we were literally walking out the door.
The food... We ordered the lobster rolls, and it came with a salad. The salad was ok, but the lobster roll was disgusting. I'm not sure how he cooked it or what sauce he put on it, but it was gross. We left more than half the food on the plates.
$125 with a 20% tip for two people to leave over half the food on the plate. Staff was talking more to each other than with guest and there were so many flies inside. GROSS.
The whole experience was bad and we ended up going to a different restaurant because we were hungry when we left Blue Moon over Avila.
Save your money and go to the pub next door!! Yes we still tipped 20% because our waitress was nice just not efficient. After we left, we wish we wouldn't have...

Charcuterie plate to start with …. Totally underwhelming except for the onion , I think, jam. Cold cuts and cheeses were boringly tasteless. The pate or fours gras type slices were tasty. But come on guys we have good and even great American cheese even good blue cheese ( Humboldt Fog).
Madam had the croque monsieur , toasted ham and cheese, again the sandwich looked great but cheese was underwhelming. In the end she didn’t eat the toast. The salad was edible.
I had the mushroom ravioli with chicken. The dish was not at all seasoned. And it’s embarrassing to sit there trying to shake table salt out of those ridiculously small shakers. The dish had shaved Parmesan on it but nothing like enough to flavor the plate. No bread was served or offered in case you wanted to mop the sauce which I didn’t.
Half way through my ravioli I came across a kitchen error on my plate. Enough for me to return the plate at that point. I get it these things happen. It’s how they fix the issue decides me on a place.
When the bill came they gave me 50% off the cost of my entree.
We didn’t...
Read moreMy husband and I were celebrating our 47th anniversary and reserved a table for this at Blue Moom. When we arrived on June 15th at 7pm and checked in at the outdoor stand w/the young woman we were shown to one of the worst tables in the restaurant inside in the back by the restrooms and busy outlet for serving w/noise and lots of people going back and forth…there was no reserved sign on the table as we saw on the best outdoor and indoor tables. We told the greeter it was our anniversary and we had a reservation and she insisted on seating us at only this very poorly located table or nothing else was available. We had indicated it was our anniversary on Open Table. We walked away and walked back on front street w/o a reservation to the Ocean Grill where we were treated graciously w/o a reservation by Thaddeus and served by Marissa at a lovely table for 2 w/a view of the ocean. My husband has a serious medical condition and this was an extra special occasion for us and we were so touched by the way we were treated by the Ocean Grill restaurant w/o a reservation. We were so disappointed by the rude treatment at Blue Moon…can’t ever...
