For my recent birthday celebration, I discovered a hidden gem near Pismo Beach that proved to be the ideal getaway. Nestled away from the bustling crowds, this beach offered a serene retreat with its uncrowded shores and inviting waters. For a moment I thought I was in the Mediterranean!

One of the highlights of this beach is its shallow ocean, which stretches out generously from the shore. This allowed me to venture quite far into the sea, making swimming an absolute joy. Whether floating leisurely or riding into the gentle waves, the tranquil waters offered a refreshing escape.

Surrounding this picturesque beach are charming and cute restaurants. You can easily enjoy a glass of wine and a tasty meal with ocean views, a beautiful way to end my birthday in this cute beach town.

During our vacation in San Luis Obispo, we made a trip to Avila Beach, and it's a lovely spot, but be warned about the parking! If you don't arrive early in the morning (around 7-8 AM) to snag a spot in the lots closer to the coast, you'll find yourself parking in the residential areas. These streets are incredibly steep, much like San Francisco, and require some good parking skills. If you arrive around noon, finding any spot, even in the residential areas, can be quite challenging.

There's a pier, but it was under maintenance during our visit, so only a section of it was open. The beach itself is quite nice, featuring a small slide and two swings. Most importantly, it has soft sand and pleasant water. With a beach umbrella, kids can easily spend the entire day playing here. The ocean water isn't too cold, and the sand isn't coarse, making it a very comfortable place to relax.

Usually is busy there . Whose are there to watch , explore and spend time on the clean ocean’s , soft waves , The interesting Golf’s , The Avila beach and The Port have a lots spaces for parking of cars , Bikes and RVS . They are also have and offer facilities for laundry room, and you can pay using quarters. Have a clean restrooms . Have a clean shower room with a hot and regular water using quarters . A wonderful Hotels in’s and Restaurantes to eat a fresh fish , ice creams . Coffee shops , Bars and others . I really like to spend my value time there to walking and hiking around the beach without tenis shoes trying to make grounded connection with the earth and the sun .
