I came to the ER with an abcessed tooth at 3a.m., entire lower jaw and neck swollen, looked and felt like I had a golf ball in my mouth. I was seen quickly, Dr prescribe antibiotic, pain med and anti-nausea meds. CVS opened at 9am, but didn't have the pain med in stock, said it was on back order and would take a week to get it in. They are unable to issue me a hard copy, or transfer the presciption anywhere else, because it was an e-script for a narcotic. I contacted the hospital and was told to have the Pharmacy call the ER to discuss what alternate medications they have in stock, so Dr could issue a new Presciption. CVS pharmacist told me the doctor must call them, they couldn't/wouldn't call the ER. I called back to the ER and left voicemail. The nurse who called me back said that the DR would not call the pharmacy, becuase "we are an Emergency Room, we don't do that!" When I tried to ask what else I could do, since they were both refusing to call the other, she hung up on me. By 12:30, the pain medication they gave me that morning had worn off. In tears, from the pain, I went back to the hospital and explained what had happened to the lady at the front desk, she told me somebody would come out to speak to me shortly. 3 hours later, when I still hadn't been "talked to", a new person was at the desk, Andrew. I went through the whole thing with him, he spoke with ER nurse and with the pharmacy. I was able to get the Pharmacy to revoke/cancel the originale-script, so that they could issue a new prescription, as per the conversations Andrew had with the various parties. Around 4:30, I was informed that they would NOT issue a new prescription, even though CVS had cancelled the original, because the DR who saw me had left for the day. So if I wanted a new prescription, I had to to be seen again. I do have insurance, but money is tight right now, since I was just out for almost 3 weeks with Covid. My insurance has a $150 co-pay for ER visits, so now I feel like they were just doing this to be able to squeeze more money out of me. I was seen for an "acute pain" problem, doctor confirmed, and a simple glance at medical history would show that I do not have any history of taking narcotics. I eventually passed out from the pain, and have barely been able to get a couple of hours sleep. I shouldn't have to pay another $150 copay just to have an alternate prescription issued, becuase the medication is on back order. I do not understand the ER's unwillingness to contact the doctor I saw, and have him authorize something else. I called back over to the hospital around 4:30 on Saturday, the gentleman I spoke to was very short with me, said that they had "told me that morning to just have the pharmacy give me a hard copy of the Rx". They didn't tell me that, they just told me to have the pharmacy call them. He continued to be rude and said we shouldn't have cancelled the original, because no dr who hadn't seen me would be willing to write a new prescription. He repeatedly talked over me when I tried to ask him what I should do. He told me I should either "be seen again, or figure it out for myself", then hung up on me. So that is twice in one day that your staff hung up on a patient. At this point I have no other option than to just be in horrific pain for several days, simply because your ER staff are incapable of LISTENING to the patient, and trying to help them find a solution in the first place. At NO POINT did I raise my voice, or speak to them rudely, so I don't understand the animosity I was receiving. I was crying from the pain, and literally begging them to help me figure the situation out. Horrible, horrible treatment of a patient, your ER staff should be ashamed of themselves.

⚠️ WARNING ⚠️ Go straight to Salisbury or Easton hospital because this is nothing but an unprofessional highly priced bandaid! A relative of mind went there with a severe cut on his had and bleeding profusely. He was told that he wasn’t a priority because he didn’t have breathing problems and there were two people ahead of him. TWO HOURS later (remember only 2 other patients and still not having seen a doctor) he asked to use the restroom and for pain medication only to be told if he could use the restroom then his hand did not hurt that much and brought him 2 Tylenol!! Once he actually got seen he was told he was going to get an X-ray and a tetanus shot. Finally the actual doctor comes in puts some stitches in and discharged him. Now on his discharge papers it says it’s his RIGHT HAND and that is 100% WRONG! It is his left hand as you can clearly see in the photo. Also it says he got a tetanus shot. WRONG AGAIN! He did not ever get that shot nor did he got the X-ray they said he was going to get. But I bet they bill the insurance company that he got it! He got NO pain medication or antibiotics! Nothing! Worst facility experience ever! Remember, you’ve been warned. Go elsewhere!!!!! UPDATE - This happened on Monday, Nov 4th. On 11/6/24 he followed up with his primary care physician who was also appalled at the treatment he received at this ER facility! She has already sent him for the x-ray he never received and prescribed him antibiotics and pain medication that he was never prescribed! Kudos to Rosehill Family Physicians, Cambridge , MD for actually caring about and for their patients!

I wish I could give them negative 5 stars it started from the paramedics treated me so bad I was trying to explain to them the best way I possibly could what was going on with me on top of that I was having a full blown panic attack one paramedic smacked his teeth and said just breathe with an attitude, they got me outside in the cold I’m shaking soooooo bad pointing at the blanket they did not put it on me they made me ride like that to the hospital I’m shaking so bad and couldn’t control my breathing the one paramedic asked the other for some pill to shove down my mouth at this point I became beyond terrified because I didn’t know what they were trying to do, they treated my situation like it was no emergency they drove soooo slow and took the longest way to get to the hospital. Got to the hospital the the Dr asked the paramedics what’s wrong they told him just anxiety (that was not the reason they just wanted to get rid of me) Dr Patrick looked at me and said why are you in the emergency room for some anxiety with an attitude, mind you I’m still on this stretcher trying breathe normal and in pain so I couldn’t get my words out so Dr Patrick asked me out loud in front of everyone You still smoke weed? I mean so loud other people heard him in there room like why are you reading things off my chart to everyone isn’t that a hippa violation Dr Brennan Patrick Ellis? I will be taking legal action...
