Aquarium is beautiful! I went as a chaperone for my son's class field trip, and the kids absolutely loved it! The exhibits are large enough for many children (and adults) to view together. The entire place is clean, comfortable, and well designed. There are plenty of places to sit and walkways are large enough for the large volume of people in the space. There are lots of exhibits where you can interact with and touch sea creatures (starfish, sting rays, sharks, and more). The kids (and my) favorite part was the Shark Tunnel and the Shark Bridge. The tunnel allows you to walk underwater and have sharks swim above and around you. We took the ferry over to Philly, then back. It only cost like $10 per person, and it gave us a break from walking (since it was quite hot outside).

Only thing I didn't like about walking along the waterfront was that you DO get approached by people asking for money, and we did see a man sleeping on the bench. It felt safe because there were lots of other folks around and it was in the afternoon. Not sure how safe it might feel at night...
Either way, I'd definitely recommend walking the waterfront. The view of the Ben Franklin Bridge...
Read moreNice, we sat for hours. Met and talked we people passing by, my husband educated them on where to get the best cheese steaks in Philly. We were at the Aquarium, there was so much to see I really enjoyed myself, and so did the grands, my sons and wives. We went to Bains, the food was really good, I was so hungry, we sat outside and ate, covid19, you could eat indoors, but we sat outside. We sat there for hours chatting and chewing, with one son&wife, and kids played. Bains closed their doors and we were still there. My other son and his family caught the ferry back to Philly, next time we'll consider taking the ferry. While sitting there we saw a lot folk all dressed up, probably attending a wedding, or party. All in all it was a great day to be...
