I live in Philly and was excited to try one of the few options in Camden. I looked at the menu and asked for an iced tea, which was listed at $4. The person working the counter asked what I size I wanted and said the options were 16oz, 20oz, and 24oz. I opted for the 20oz thinking it was going to be a little higher than $4 as itās 4 more ounces of water and no extra tea - itās not like an extra tea bag is added, itās just more water lol. Anyway, after drinking my tea and asking to pay, the owner checked me out, and said that itās $7.24. I said ok no worries and politely asked about the price difference, and the owner became defensive and tried to argue with me about how the small size is a 12 ounce (not the 16 ounce like I was told) and I ordered a 20 ounce, and how also their prices on the menu say āstarting atā instead of the actual price. I just said ok no worries just a little confused and the owner continued to tell me how it was my fault for ordering such a big drink lol. Like I said, I was really excited to support a small business in Camden. However, with the attitude from the owner, the lack of transparency in pricing, and frankly the poor taste of the drink, I cannot recommend this place and will...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI will not return to this establishment and I do NOT recommend. I meant Rosemari (I believe she said she was the OWNER/Barista at the time). I inquiried about over $5 (EACH) cost for a drink and "baked good" she then became dismissive asking "if I wanted to order or not?" She then went on about supporting "Black/Brown" businesses and how she's all for them. I guess that is why she's her own Barista in the city of Camden. Where are the jobs for the residents of the city that she wants to support? It's "business owners" like this that make you not want to support because of poor customer service and snobby remarks. I did order and the drink was a burnt coffee taste while the baked good was dry and seemed to be sitting...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe visited this cafe during a heatwave this summer and I have to say,we were stunned by how rude we were treated and will not be back. We purchased several snacks and coffees (nothing special, tbh) and asked for 2 cups of water for our walk to the aquarium. The girl behind the counter was grabbing cups to fill up when the manager? (Not sure if that was her title) came over and grabbed the cups from her and told her we must purchase a bottle, she will not give free tap water. It was so unnecessarily rude to treat paying customers this way...we would never come back even if they were the only...
