I was not aware of this place actually had a name until I looked it up on Google Maps. I do agree with other reviewers that is a good place to come and sit and have a coffee or tea and look out over the ocean. You can gain access to the beach here and it's likely less crowded to come this way over the main route most people are taking.
You are not too far from the parking lot which is a couple blocks over and there's also street parking along this area. This park is close to the north entrance to the town. Read moreVery tiny park with nice small whale statue and access to the river and beach, plus a couple benches. There was absolutely no signage whatsoever explaining the significance of the whale, which is that this is the site of where the Lewis and Clark Expedition ventured to see a beached blue whale. As this is an important site for Lewis and Clark tourists, the city would do well to add signage. No parking at this location.
